There's another test today, just like I thought. Marty gathered us around the training grounds and expined our next test to us.

  "Today you will be going against each other in a free for all battle! Now... Get this straight, you don't have to win the battle to beat this test." Marty tells us.

  "How do we pass then?" I ask.

  "Fight hard, that's how you pass." He says.

  I guess we just have to try. Knowing Ann's real power makes me kind of scared for this. Everybody's got new skills which'll make this fun. Real fun!

  "Oh and just don't kill each other please." Marty adds.

  We all gather on the training field. A mage comes into the middle of the field. He spins around a few times before a the ground begins to shift. Large hills appear and trees grow out of nowhere. The edge of the field sinks into the ground and gets filled with water. People bring in crates filled with different monsters. Marty walks to the edge of the moat and shouts at us.

  "Watch out for the monsters! Vincent hand picked them." He yells.

  I hear a loud bang come from behind the trees. I climb up one the trees to get a better view. Reed is floating in the air and firing rge rocks at somebody. Large explosions come from another part of the field. Must be Mal. I know two of five people locations. With the destruction it begins to smell like gunpowder and charcoal. I climb down the tree slightly and sit down on a branch. I don't want to get into a fight right now, it'll be better if I just wait for maybe three people get eliminated.

  I sit in the tree for nearly an hour when somebody walks by. Wick walks by and leans on the tree I'm sitting in. I hold my breath to hope my position doesn't get exposed. He sighs and looks up. He sees me and gets surprised. I throw one of my barrier spheres at him. I jump to another tree. He cuts down the other one and runs at the tree I'm in. He cuts it down and I jump to another. We continue this for a little bit until we reach the other side edge of the trees. Ann is walking around there. I jump towards her and nd next to her. She turns to look at me but I grab her. Wick charges out of the forest and smacks Ann on the head with his spear. Luckily Marty gave us dull wooden weapons or that could have done some good damage.

  Ann falls to the ground, me and Wick take a second to look at her ying on the ground. Wick turns back to me and starts swinging rapidly. I cover my self with my barriers and crouch down. The rger my barrier the more mana it takes, so if I crouch I can minimize mana usage. Wick walks back into the forest, I run the other direction.

  "Oh Caleb!" I hear from the right.

  Mal stand there with her explosives in hand. She tosses some at me but I avoid them. She tosses one at her feet sending her towards me. I run at her and stab my sword into her torso. She falls back and starts to roll around in pain.

  "Ow, ow, ow, ow! That hurt you jerk!" She cries.

  "Mal are you okay? I'm so sorry!" I say while I run over to her.

  I kneel down and try to look for any damage. She stops crying and smirks. She clenches her fist and it explodes. I fly back and roll a few feet.

  "Marty taught me some nice tricks!" She says.

  "Cocky brat." I ugh.

  She runs at me with her dagger. She gets next to me and I grab her legs. I flip her into the air and kick her into the moat, eliminating her. I get onto my feet. Mal's little trick damaged my leg pretty well. I stumble back to the forest. I notice Ann's unconscious body.

  "Marty! What do I do if they get knocked out?" I ask.

  "Just toss her in, I'll get her." He shouts.

  I drag Ann over to the edge and push her off. Marty jumps in after her. I walk away and walk into the forest. I can know at least two people are eliminated. Ann got out really quick so I won't need to worry about her extreme power! I sit against a tree. I hear a loud bang from behind me. I look around the tree and see Ann fighting Wick? I thought I pushed Ann off. I struggle to stand up and walk over to the two fighting. I watch from a distance. On the side I notice Mark watching them. He's extra focused on Ann. Maybe he did understand what I was telling him about. I can't help but to chuckle a little.

  I look back at Ann and Wick. Ann has a rge fireball above her. It's even bigger than the one she had while training. It's bright and has a strong smell. She lets it slowly fall to the ground as she pushes herself away from fire. I can't run with my leg hurt. The bst while hit me for sure. I stand still as a rge bright light comes from where Wick stands. He starts shooting lightning at the fire ball, it doesn't do much. The fire ball hits the ground, a rge push hits me back. I smash into the ground and my mind goes bnk. My eye lids feel heavy, then everything goes bck.

  I wake up in the doctors office again. This time it's Marty standing in the doorway. The doctors has a strange green light coming from his hands, it points at my leg. It must be healing magic. He sits there healing it for a few minutes. He walks out of the room and says something to Marty.

  "Nice job kid! You passed." Marty give me a thumbs up.

  "I'd assume that." I say.

  "The doctor healed you pretty quick. Good news is you'll be able to do the next test." He tells me.

  "Yay..." I say sarcastically.

  Marty lets out a little chuckle.

  "Nice job on eliminating Mal and Reed by the way." Marty says.

  "Reed? How'd Ann get back into the battle anyway?" I ask.

  "Illusion magic. Reed was using it to look like Ann." He tells me.

  I look at Marty and give him a serious look.

  "So you'll give special lessons to Reed and Mal but not Mark?" I joke.

  Marty sighs and walks out of the room. The doctor comes back in and gives me another quick release. I walk out of the doctors tent and go back to ours. I'm tired, so I might as well just get some sleep.
