We've been here for three days. Everyday me and Wick go hunting. Ann bought her and Reed a basic spell book. Overall we have ten silver and thirty six copper and we didn't get that from purely hunting. An older man that owns a small shop started giving us jobs to do for a good amount of money. Today he gave us a job to kill a giant just outside the vilge. It apparently showed up just after we arrived and is now killing all his delivery workers and destroying his supplies. I grabbed Ann and we told Reed and Mal to stay here until we're back. Before we set off Ann picked up two small wands for thirty six copper leaving us with just ten silver. She said that she needed on and the other was for Reed once we get back. We set off towards the forest. Once we enter the mood quickly changes quickly. Loud bangs come from deep in the forest.
"You think that's the giant?" Wick asks me.
"Yeah... This one may be a hard fight." I respond.
As we get close we all ready our weapons. We walk along the path slowly, the banging coming closer and closer. Suddenly something burst through the trees onto the path. It's a giant naked man, covered in blood. It's holding a mangled wolf in it's hand. It turn towards us. The giant has a rge grin on it's teeth. It's clear it had been snacking on the wolf for a long time. Blood cover it's teeth. Wick charges towards it and swing his spear at it's leg. It does nothing. The giant looks down at Wick and kicks him away. Ann quickly grabs her wand and fires a low level rock spell at it. The giant starts walking towards us. I stand in front of Ann and run towards it. It attempts to kick me away like Wick but i move to left avoiding it's leg. I cut the back of it's hard but it barely dent the things skin. It turns around faster than it's moved the whole time. It's foot sms into me extremely hard and I move multiple feet back. I feel as if I'm about to pass out. I colpse onto my knees. It pulls it's leg into the hair and is about to sm me into the ground. It's foot falls to the ground quickly but it's stopped just a foot above my head. I look up and there's a rge blue shield covering me. I look at Ann and she seem just as confused as me. I run out from under the shield just then Wick comes out of nowhere and stabs it's foot. His spear goes deep, but as he tries to pull it out the spear snaps in half. This seem to cause the giant a huge amount of pain. It stars punching the ground randomly trying to kill Wick. He gets out of the way.
"How the fuck are we supposed to kill this thing?" I ask while gasping.
Ann looks at me, she looks confident. She motions me to run at the giant, I do. The giant sees me running towards it and stops hitting the ground. I put my sword in a stabbing stance. My feet leave the ground as I'm pushed into the air at the same level as the giants head. My sword goes deep into the giants head pushing both us down to the ground. I sm into the ground hard. My whole body is in a rge amount of pain. Ann and Wick run over to me. They both pick me up off the ground. Wick checks the giants pulse to see if it's dead or not. He tells us were good. Wick then gets pieces of the giant to bring back. Both Ann and Wick help me walk back to the vilge. Once we get back Wick takes our items to the shop owner and Ann carries me to the inn. She ys me on the bed. Reed and Mal asked what had happened. Ann told them about the fight. Reed suggested a doctor but Ann told him it would be way to expensive. Wick comes back to the inn holding three gold. Meaning we just earned thirty times what we already owned. Ann also gave Reed his wand and we all bought new weapons. Overall we spent the rest of our silver on just weapons. Ann and Reed kept the wands. Mal bought herself a knife with the money. I found a short sword made out of a good quality metal. I also got some metal gloves that make me punch harder. Wick bought a much stronger spear and a small knife.
We stayed the rest of the week at the inn. I'm still injured by the time our stay ended. Ann would heal me with magic everyday but it only helped a small amount. I'm able to fight again but Ann tells me to just rest. We bought a slightly more expensive inn for a little bit. This one has three beds while the other had just two. It does cost five copper which is five times our old price. Ann and Mal share a bed, me and Reed share a bed and Wick gets his own. We decide to start discussing our pns for the future. After a long conversation we decide on the king. Ann tells us about the horrible things he's done. In just a year of being king he's killed nearly the entire monster race on Erin. Not to mention his mass svery expeditions.
Over the time I've been injured Ann has taught Reed a lot of magic. Starting with healing magic and moving quickly onto offensive magic. He can already use intermediate level spell making him just as powerful as Ann who is easily the strongest in our group. She also offers to tach me magic. I asked why she would go through that trouble and she tells me I've already done it. I asked her what she meant by that and she says the strange shield was from me. She also took to a mirror and pointed towards my eye. Both my eyes are already blue but one of them has turned a much brighter blue. This is a physical way of showing rge amounts of mana. I could be very powerful magician. I tell I'm willing to learn the magic but she doesn't have to teach me like she did with Reed. After that she taught me to move mana through my body and also how to make my body stronger. I asked her what she did to shoot me into the air. It was a low level air spell.
