Arc I - Chapter II - Episode VII: "Six and Seven"

  Chapter II: “Growth”

  Episode VII: “Six and Seven”

  [The next morning]

“Where is he?” Fevee asked, her eyes still swollen.

  “He left,” Rikito replied.

“What do you mean, he left? Where did he go?” Asuka asked.

  “…”

The previous night, Akira had pulled Rikito aside under the moonlight.

He spoke quietly but with unshakable resolve — his journey wasn’t a mission for the UFA. It was personal.

He needed to find the one who could teach him to control his Utopic power… before Apocalypse did.

Rikito had said little in response, but deep down, his resolve burned just as fiercely.

He wouldn’t follow Akira. He had his own path — hunting the generals, no matter what it took.

“It doesn’t matter where he went,” Rikito finally said, voice firm.

“All that matters now is getting stronger. We’re going to train… so we can take down every general — and take revenge against our father.”

  [Two years later]

Rikito and Asuka returned to the UFA, saying their goodbyes to Fevee.

They reported everything — the headmaster, Kai, and the generals. But their stay was brief — their war wasn’t over.

In that time, Rikito and Asuka became ghosts — rarely seen, never idle. They trained in isolation, hunted minor threats, and followed every rumor of Apocalypse’s army.

“I still can’t believe he left without saying goodbye…” Sikira muttered.

Unauthorized duplication: this narrative has been taken without consent. Report sightings.

“Two years…” Darc replied. “Rikito and Asuka have been gone for about one now.”

“Yeah… and it’s too bad they didn’t stay long enough to hear that the headmaster survived. Apparently, Master Kai helped him fake his death to lure out the other generals. But things didn’t go as planned… and Kai was killed.”

  “… Sikira.”

  “Yeah?”

“We need to get stronger, too. The headmaster’s planning a program to train the best of the best. We need to make sure we qualify. I’m sure Rayon’s already ready in it.”

“Isn’t he still on a mission?”

“Yeah, but he’ll be back soon. We need to be ready — especially if Rayon’s in the running.”

  “Alright!”

[Three Years Later — Dusty Dunes, Western Region]

The world had changed — so had they.

Rikito’s body carried new scars, and Asuka’s movements had sharpened with precision.

Their aether resonated through their bodies, and their power was undeniable.

Now, far from the UFA, they trekked through the Dusty Dunes, a wasteland said to hide two of Apocalypse’s most elusive generals.

  “Rikito, I’ve got it!”

  “You found them?”

“Yeah. Someone in town knew where they were.”

  “How far?”

“Only a couple of days on foot.”

  “Then we leave tomorrow.”

  “Right!”

  [The Sixth and Seventh Generals]

The next day, they confronted two towering figures standing atop a dune.

“Ohhh, the master’s son… and his daughter! What luck,” the first said with a grin that revealed sharp, predatory teeth.

“Hmph. They must be fools,” the second muttered, his deep voice echoing like rolling thunder.

“You better not underestimate us,” Rikito said, his tone sharp as steel. “We’re stronger than you think.”

Roku laughed, his grin stretching unnaturally wide. “Ha! Hey, Mr. Seven — let me take this one first.”

“Do as you want,” Kuro replied coolly, his crimson eyes never leaving Rikito.

“You’ll regret that,” Rikito snarled. In a blur, he ignited his Demonic Base Form, his aura crackling like a living storm, and launched at the sixth general with murderous intent.

This isn’t the one who beat Grimm… No, they were stronger. Still, let’s see what this kid can do, Kuro thought.

The two collided with a thunderous impact, sand exploding around them. Despite their similar base powers, Rikito’s years of grueling training gave his movements ruthless efficiency, letting him push the Roku onto the

  defensive.

“Black Lightning!” Rikito roared, unleashing a jagged wave of dark electricity that paralyzed Roku mid?charge.

  “Now—Super Dark Demolition Cannon!”

The overcharged beam tore through the battlefield, engulfing Roku in a blinding flash of black and violet energy.

“Hmph. That fool left himself wide open,” Kuro said.

  “What? Over already?”

“N?not… yet…” Roku’s voice slithered through the smoke as his silhouette reformed. He stepped forward, skin darkening and muscles bulging grotesquely.

A devious smile spread across his transformed face as he revealed his Imperfect Demon Form.

His skin is already that dark, huh. Kuro thought as he examined the sixth’s form.

Seems this is all he’ll ever be capable of.

“Trying to heal your wounds, huh. I won’t let you!” Rikito Aether-Skipped in front of the sixth. “Deep Crash!”

He launched a barrage of attacks but was shut down as the sixth flared his energy, knocking Rikito back.

“So, this form won’t keep up? Fine… Demon Form!”

Kuro raised an eyebrow, silently analyzing Rikito’s movements.

Maybe this is the one who beat Grimm… if he’s improved since then, I may need to intervene.

“Hey, don’t get any ideas,” Roku barked with a laugh. “Leave this to me, alright, Mr. Seven?”

“Hmph.” The seventh’s reply was little more than a rumble, but he uncrossed his arms — a subtle tell that he was preparing to join in.

“You done chatting?” Rikito snarled. “Then hurry up and ascend already — this won’t be interesting if you don’t.”

  “…”

  “He can’t. That’s his limit.”

“What? Really? You’re not that impressive compared to Grimm.”

  “…”

  “Hahaha! You’re funny. You’re right — his output’s similar to Grimm’s.

But unlike Grimm, he’s more consistent since he doesn’t rely on shadow boosts, and his power’s slightly higher despite the imperfect form.”

  Kuro stepped forward.

“I’ll entertain you now. I’m Kuro, the Seventh General of Apocalypse’s Army. And this is Roku, the Sixth General. Let’s not waste time.” Kuro said as he entered his Demon Form.

Rikito matched him. “Demon Form Level Two!”

Their battle began, a storm of blows shaking the dunes.

“Hmph. If you’re stealing my prey…” Roku sneered, powering down, “…then I’ll take the other one.”

  “Disgusting,” Asuka spat.

She stepped forward as her aura flared in a shimmering amethyst-azure blaze. “Demon Form Level Two!”

She crashed into Roku, their blows sending shockwaves rippling across the dunes. Despite Roku only being in his base form, their clash was even.

“You’re not half bad… for a girl,” Roku taunted, his grin widening.

“I’ll make you eat those words,” Asuka hissed, her claws glowing with sharpened crystal aether. “Don’t beg for mercy when I end you.”
