“This is not good. This is not good at all.” The red-haired girl said to herself as she walked quickly down the hallway.
“This is going to be a problem. This is going to be a big problem.” She continued until she reached the door that led to the club. There, without looking back, she continued to the next door.
“Hey, Sofia!” A man shouted from behind the bar. “What happened? Where are you in such a hurry?” But he didn’t get an answer. Sofia didn’t even look at him and kept walking quickly. He just shrugged and went back to his work.
“This is bad, very bad.” She kept walking until she reached the door that led to the salon. There was another man standing there, but he crossed her path.
“Where are you going in such a hurry, Sofia.” He asked in his rough voice.
“Greg, I don’t have time right now. We have a big problem and I don't know what to do yet. I need to talk to the girls so don't get in my way." Sofia replied, trying to get around him.
Unfortunately for her, a hand appeared in front of her and continued to block her path. "Problem? What problem do you mean? Maybe I can help you with it." Greg said seriously.
"I'm sorry, but you can't help me with this and I'd be worried if I were you. It probably affects you too." She replied while trying to push the hand that was blocking her path away.
"Wait a minute. You can't just come in here and say I have a problem and then just walk away like nothing happened. So tell me what's going on. What's the problem?" He said adamantly. And he stood in front of her with his whole body.
"Uhh okay." Sofia sighed. "Do you know about that new girl from this morning?"
“Yes, and what about her?”
“Well, she’s not the new girl.”
“What do you mean? Madam herself introduced her like that.” He looked at her, confused.
“And that’s the problem, I thought so too, but she’s not.”
“Wait, if she’s not the new girl, then who is she?”
“She’s the third head.”
“Bullshit!” Greg replied in disbelief. “I’ve been working here for a long time, but this organization has always had two heads. Never three.”
“It’s true. Madam herself told me.”
Greg froze at the word ‘Madam’. If Madam herself said it, it must be true, but he’d never heard of a third head. Doubts began to creep into his head. Maybe Sofia had made it up.
“I don’t believe you.” He finally said.
“I don’t care whether you believe me or not. I trust my ears and that's why you need to let me go, so I can discuss it with the girls!" Sofia continued angrily.
And so Greg took a step aside and let Sofia go. But what she said stuck in his head. What if it's true? He stood there for a while before finally deciding. "Fuck! This is going to be a problem." And he went in the opposite direction from Sofia.
In the meantime, she continued to walk quickly into the salon to the curtain, through which she passed and entered the main room. There she saw other girls. The eldest was the first to notice her and came over to her.
"So what? Will Madam accept our suggestions?" She asked.
"Forget about the dress. Now we have another problem." Sofia answered and stood in the middle of the room. "Girls! I need your attention."
"Sofia, what's going on?" The oldest of them spoke again.
"Not now, Cra." Sofia said and waited for the st girl to enter the room.
“Sofia! What the hell is going on?!” Cra frowned.
“Are we all here yet? Okay…” She took a breath and continued. “We have a big problem. I need to know what you said to Evelyn?”
“Evelyn? You mean the new girl?” One of the girls spoke up.
“Exactly! I need to know what you said to her?”
“Sofia, wait a minute. You still haven't told us what’s going on.” Cra stopped her.
“We don’t have time for this. She could come any minute. We have to…” She didn’t get to finish because someone grabbed her shoulder.
It was Cra who interrupted her again and looked her in the eyes. “Sofia calm down and stop panicking!”
She just sighed and calmed down a little. “Now tell us what’s going on.”
Sofia looked around and saw the same worried expression on each of the girls. So she took another breath and looked at Cra.
“Evelyn is not the new girl.”
“What do you mean, she is not? Even Madam said then…”
“It doesn’t matter what she said then, what matters is what she says now.”
“So if she is not the new girl, then who is she?” Cra asked confused.
“Madam introduced her to me as the third head.” As soon as she finished speaking, all the girls gasped and started looking at each other.
“What do you mean, the third head?”
“I mean it like I said.” Sofia looked at all the girls. “She is not just an ordinary girl, she is one of the highest members of our organization.”
“Sofia, that is not possible.” One of the girls spoke up. “There are and always have been only two heads. I have never heard of a third one.”
“Neither have I.” Cra nodded, and the other girls started nodding in agreement as well.
“I know, I’ve never heard of her either, but that doesn’t change the fact that she is.” Sofia said firmly. “And that’s why we have a problem and I need to know what you told her.”
“But why?” Cra asked.
“Because, she’s going to come here and evaluate us.” Again, all the girls started looking at each other.
“So the time she spent here with us was…”
“It was a test.” Sofia finished for Cra.
“Wait. So, if she came to evaluate us, doesn’t that mean she’s from school?” Cra continued with another question.
“I don’t know.”
“But…”
“I don’t know, okay! She could be from school, but that doesn’t matter right now.” Sofia sighed and looked at one of the girls. “Emily, you’ve been with her the longest, what did you find out about her?”
“Yes!” She answered, standing up right like a soldier. “From what I’ve observed, I can tell she either doesn’t have any training or is very good at hiding it.”
“Yes, we all noticed that. What else? What did you talk about in your room?”
“To be honest, we didn’t talk much. She just wanted to find out a little bit more about me. What’s my name and where do I work, that’s about all we did after that, we just sat there in silence. Well, I was sitting, she was lying on the bed.”
“She was lying on the bed, just like that? That means she has no training. None of us would allow ourselves to do that."
“That’s what I thought too.” Emily announced proudly.
“Well. We won’t find out much from that. She said that we all passed, but that she would talk to us again. Whatever that means, we all have to be prepared for any scenario. None of you can underestimate her, and most importantly, remember your training. Is that clear?!”
"Yes, it is!" They answered together like soldiers.
“Okay. Let’s get ready.”
