I wake up surrounded by trees. The familiar look of my tent is gone. The only thing on me is my sword and clothes. I look around and see a small kid. I'm pretty used to waking up in strange pces by now, so it's really not shocking it happened again. The kid is still a sleep so I decide to wait for them to wake up. The first thing we'll need is to find a nearby vilge.

  The boy eventually wakes up.

  "Where am I!" He yells.

  He looks over at me with a terrified look on his face, tears coming from his eyes.

  "Did you... Kidnap me?" They ask.

  This kid is pretty straight forward isn't he. This isn't gonna be easy.

  "No, I just woke up around here." I tell him.

  "What're we supposed to do?" He asks me.

  The kid's afraid. He probably has a family. I kneel down in front of him. I pat him on the head.

  "Calm down, we'll get out of here." I reassure him.

  This calms him down a little bit. We start walking in a random direction.

  "Mister." The boy says.

  "What's up?" I ask.

  "Can you pick me up? I'm tired." He says.

  I sigh and bend down. He hops on my back and we start moving again. There's no path, and the forest feels endless. We walk for hours in the forest. I see something moving behind some trees. On the other side of us is another moving object. Then another appears directly in front of me. I put the kid down and pull out my sword. Three monsters surround me. One sps the sword out of my hand. It nds a few feet back. Another grabs the young boy. I'm about to rush to my sword but I don't have time. If I grab my sword the boy will die. I need to save the boy. But if I save the boy I'll certainly die. Shit! What do I do?

  I run towards the boy. I jump up and punch the monster in the face. The three monster surround me and start tearing off my skin.

  "Run!" I yell.

  I see the monster attacking me but I don't feel any pain. The monsters begin to fade into smoke. The trees start to blur. People are around me cheering. I look around, I'm in the training grounds? Marty walks up to me.

  "Congrats Caleb! You pass." Marty tells me.

  "What was that?" I ask.

  Marty gives me a big smile. Behind him is Reed, Wick, Ann, Mark, and Mal.

  "This was the second of my tests!" He shouts.

  "That was a test? How... How'd you do that." I ask.

  "That was a special type of magic. Illusion magic." He tells me.

  The crowd disperses. Reed walks up to me.

  "Nice job man! That means five out of six of us passed the test." Reed says.

  "Who failed?" I ask jokingly.

  He points at Wick. Wick is pouting on the ground. He looks over at us.

  "What! I didn't know it was a test alright!" He yells at us.

  "That's the point of a test." Reed replies.

  The next day is a rest day from tests. We do our basic training and sparing. Things have definitely ramped up in our matches. Now we need at least three hits. Today I had to go against Wick. Wick is confident in himself this match. The loss against Mark made him train extra hard recently.

  Marty puts us onto the training field and begins our match. Wick rushes in and starts to thrust his spear at me. I avoid it and grab his spear. He smirks at this and channels his lightning into his spear. It shocks me and he gets one hit. I fall back and he swings his spear at me. I dodge it and move back. He fires some lightning at me, I move to the side of it. I summon my barrier around my body and rush in. He shoots more lightning at me but it bounces off me. I get close and hit him with my sword. He flies to the side and nds on his back. I run at him again, but once I get close a rge electrical bst comes form him. He stands up surrounded by a light blue light. He gives me a rge cocky smile.

  "Like it? I've been working on this for a while now." He says.

  I unsummon my barriers and run in. Lightning fires from the sky. I summon my barrier in a sphere above my head. The lightning strikes it. I grab the sphere and throw it a Wick. He puts his spear up to block it but misses and gets hit. These barriers work a lot better for offence than I thought. Reed runs at me. The light around him glows bright and turns into electricity. Lightning fires in all directions. I run at him. A bolt of lightning flies at me, I let it him me. It stuns me buck I push through the pain and jump at Wick. He gets ready to send more lightning at me but instead of swing I throw my sword at him. This surprises him and he gets hit winning me our match.

  Now Ann is going against Mark. Before the match Mark comes and talks to me.

  "This time... I'll actually get a hit!" Mark says.

  "Hey man, you can win this!" I tell him.

  "I'm not so sure about that. The st one really hurt my spirits." He says, "Marty really is out to get me recently."

  "Marty is just looking out for." I tell him.

  "Yeah right!" He mutters.

  Mark walks out into the field. Ann is already waiting for him. They both get into a fighting stance. Mark gives Ann a serious yet clearly good spirited look. Marty starts the match, Mark runs at Ann. Ann shoots water balls at him. Mark cuts them with his sword. Ann pushes herself into the air with wind magic. Mark throws a knife at her. She hits it away with rock magic. Mark throws another before she can react, it hits her. She starts falling to the ground. Mark runs over to her. Mark catches her right before she nds on the ground. Mark gives her a smirk and sets her on the ground. He then taps her with his sword twice.

  Ann walks past me. The end clearly embarrassed her.

  "Ann, you good?" I ask jokingly.

  "Y-yeah. I'm fine." She stutters.

  Now is Mal against Reed. Reed fires a rock sphere at her. She throws one of her little bombs. It blows the rock up, behind it was another that flies at Reed. He moves out of the way and it blows up behind him. He starts walking at her, she throws more bombs but he blocks and dodges them. Mal gets mad at him block her and she runs at him. Reed stands still. Mal reaches him and hits him with her dagger. He grabs he arm and fires three water balls at her. Winning their fight.
