Me and Wick reach the old man's shop. He greets us with a warm smile as we walk in. The shop isn't very busy yet but as the day goes on a lot of people show up. Most of the day we sit by the front of the store waiting for anybody dangerous or strange comes in. There's none so far, so to pass the time we py with a deck of cards the old man has. It's not the usual deck or not the usual deck from our world. Here it might be pretty common. We py stuff like go fish. The shops open for at least seven hours a day and then closes at night. We went the whole day without anyone trying anything. We get back to inn and everybody is out. I go straight to bed. Before I do Wick tells me he's going out for a little bit.

  I wake up early. This inn has a bath for it's guests so I use that. We also bought some change of clothes. I wear a rge brown cloak and a bck scarf. It looked pretty cool and since I'm a body guard it could intimidate people. Wick didn't come back st night. I ask the others if they saw him but nobody did. I go out and look for him, but I have no luck. I have to get to the shop and maybe he could be there anyways. I walk in but he's not there. The old man greets me and asks where Wick is. I tell him he didn't come back st night. He asks if he should send out a search team. I tell him he'll be back, we just have to wait.

  Time passes slow in the shop. Nobody suspicious comes by for most the day. But just before closing a person comes into the shop. They have a sword and are wearing a bck cloak and hood. They buy some food and sit at a table nearby. I keep getting the feeling that they're staring at me. They do move their head towards my direction repeatedly. They finish the food and walk out. They seemed strange, maybe I should look out for that person. Wick didn't show at all. I tell the old man before I leave to send a search team in the morning. He nods and gives me my pay for the day. We don't make as much as we would adventuring but it's enough. Besides we already have a good amount of money. I start walking back to the inn, by now it's dark. The people out at this time are a lot more dangerous than during the day. I get to the inn and walk into our room. Everybody's there this time except for Wick. I ask if they saw him at all but still no luck. By now I'm getting worried, he could be in serious danger.

  The next morning is the same thing. He's gone and I have to watch the shop. Today the cloaked person came in three times. Once in the morning and twice in the afternoon. Each time I notice them gncing over towards me. I try not to stare at them but it's hard. People pass in and out all day. The day ends and talk to the old man. He sent out a search team earlier but they had no luck. This same thing happens for another two days. Each day I get more and more worried. This morning is different though. The cloaked person comes in again but this time they walk up to me. They wear a mask and whisper something in my ear.

  "Come back here at eleven if you want your friend." They whisper.

  They walk out and leave me there. I don't understand what they mean by this. Does this mean they have Wick? I need to come at eleven... Maybe then I'll get answers. I wait until the days over and talk to the old man. He sends me out. I wait in a nearby alley with my sword in hand. A few hours after close a person shows up in front of the shop. It's the same cloaked person, I walk up to them. They look at me and start walking away. I follow them. We walk over to an old abandoned building. they walk in at turn around. I walk into the building and Wick sits there tied to a chair. Around him is hung skeletons. The person pulls down their mask and it turns out to be Louis's student, the girl one. She kicks me in the stomach and throws me over by Wick. She walks over to me and kicks my head. My eye lids fall and I feel myself pass out.

  I wake up inside a cell. Another person sits next to me. It's another one of Louis's students, the bald one. He looks at me and I see he's clearly been starved. I try to walk over to him but my feet are chained to the wall. Out of the cell is a hallway. There's another cell across from us. Wick sits in that one. Multiple guards walk by. The have short swords and wear leather armor. One eventually walks into the cell and puts one pte of food next to me and one next to the bald guy. The pte has some strange slop.

  "I wouldn't eat that." Louis's student tells me.

  "Why?" I ask.

  "It's poisoned... It's not deadly but it hurts real bad." He says.

  I look down at the food and decide not to eat it. I ask him how long he's been here. He says she took him and Wick around the same time. Which means he was taken just a night after talking to me. I never learned his name so I decide to ask.

  "Bud... My names Bud." He says.

  Me and him talk for a little bit. He tells me she wants me and my friends dead. She only took him because I took his side. I ask what we should do. He looks me deep in the eye.

  "Die, I guess." Bud tells me.

  "Why not try to fight back at least." I ask.

  "She's far too strong for us." He says.

  I don't know how strong she really is. But saying as I could barely beat an old and blind Louis I don't think we can stand a chance. Louis said she had beaten a dragon. I don't think has told us about those yet. I lean back and go to sleep. I don't know what time it is and I don't know how long we'll be here.
