Chapter 25: Synchronization

The Titanians ended up losing in the end.

Strictly speaking, Viktor even bought them more time.

Three months ter, a Viltrumite who was two years older than him discovered the pce.

Perhaps due to Viktor's consistently outstanding performance and stable growth in his superpowers over the past decade, the Viltrumite who was from the same unit as him didn't have any suspicions about him.

"Hey, what are you keeping these few thousand people for—never mind, I'll clean this up."

He carelessly flew past Viktor, completely exposing his back to him without a thought.

Viktor then snuck up behind him and killed him in front of the remaining Titanians in the st refuge. After about half a month, a zy-attituded Viltrumite flew in from the distant sky, occasionally calling out Viktor's name.

"Viktor? You didn't go on another killing spree, did you? We're supposed to gather and head back!"

This person was somewhat stronger than the st one and more vigint, but after paying a slight price, Viktor still managed to kill him with difficulty.

The Titanians didn't understand what Viktor was doing.

As they hurried to finish the construction of the spaceship, they observed him with hatred and vigince as he silently hovered in the sky, staring into the distance without saying a word.

They couldn't forget that he had already killed hundreds of thousands of their best soldiers who were guarding this st refuge right in front of them.

The successive disappearances finally aroused the suspicion among the Viltrumites who originally pnned to gather and leave.

This time, a youth whose past achievements were comparable to Viktor's, along with that nightmare-like instructor, came together.

The escape spaceship was finished, but the energy wasn't fully charged yet.

Viktor looked at the instructor and comrade who were rapidly flying toward him, loudly questioning him. He closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and then flew straight toward them without any fear or turning back.

The shockwaves from the battle affected those st tens of thousands of Titanians, leaving nearly all of them dead or injured.

Having already exhausted two rounds of stamina, Viktor was no match for their combined attack, and his body flew through the sky like a rag doll, and blood rained down like drops of water.

The instructor angrily berated him for being unreasonable, but Viktor silently got back up, not even wiping the blood that flowed from his mouth and nose, and took up his fighting stance again.

In the next moment, Viktor was sent flying by a punch from the other Viltrumite, sneering as she struck.

"He can't hold on much longer; I can see his eyes losing focus."

But as the lights on the spaceship began to gradually light up, the two were stunned to find that Viktor, who had been on the verge of death, withstood the punch that should have killed him.

Even though he was badly injured and could barely think straight, Viktor suddenly found one st burst of power that even the instructor couldn't withstand.

He weakly looked at the dozen or so surviving Titanians, and his face actually showed the first smile since arriving in the Viltrum over a decade ago.

"We should go together, stay away from those guys. I can protect you. The Titan's civilization still has a chance."

The refugees, reduced to just over ten people from genocide, looked at each other, then a Titanian male holding a firearm stepped forward.

  "Get off!"

The leading Titanian commanded with hatred.

"If you come with us, we'd rather blow up this spaceship!"

Viktor froze, his smile slowly fading, his head lowering as he hid all his emotions in the shadows.

At this moment, Viktor was too injured and could die at any second. Moreover, he didn't have even a moment to persuade them.

He lifted his head, and his eyes became empty and dim again.

  "Then... I'm sorry."

  ...

Raven withdrew her fingers, looking at him somewhat dazedly, her cheeks still showing an abnormal flush.

  Viktor, however, was completely different.

Raven hadn't deceived him, and this magic hadn't harmed him, but it also had a two-way effect. He had also glimpsed a part of Raven's past.

Raven's full name is Rachel Roth, and Viktor also understood her situation with Trigon.

If the Viltrum's goal is to conquer pnets, then Trigon's goal was to target various pnes and dimensions. It's worth mentioning that a part of Raven's experiences and emotional journey were almost identical to his.

"No wonder you help the homeless. You're just taking the opportunity of giving food so you can increase your strength or deepen your understanding of your own powers."

Who would ever guess such a strange habit?

Batman and Nightwing could never imagine it.

They probably just thought this girl was unusually kind.

Even though the souls of the elderly were old and worn, to Rachel, they seemed rich and full of life because of all the experiences those lives held.

Viktor's soul, however, because of rebirth, mental conflicts, long periods of suffocating pressure, and other reasons, reached a new level of impact and attraction for Rachel.

The strange look on Rachel's face slowly faded, and a brief sense of satisfaction appeared on her usually indifferent face.

However, it quickly returned to the usual, bnk, dead-fish-eye expression, but when her indifferent gaze nded on him, Rachel unexpectedly showed a hint of emotion.

Viktor silently avoided her confused gaze.

"I've kept it inside for too long. I'm tired."

Even though Doctor Fate had been hostile toward him a few days ago and Diana had questioned him to his face, Viktor still didn't dare to fully reveal his past in Viltrum.

Just expining the Rite of Passage had been difficult for Diana to accept, and if he were to tell everything about the st ten years in detail, the consequences would be unimaginable.

Seeing that Rachel didn't press further, Viktor took the initiative to return to their previous topic.

"Now, can you help me with my... problem?"

He seemed a bit troubled by Rachel saying that there was something wrong with his soul.

Rachel shot him a sideways gnce with her cold eyes, then nodded slightly.

"I don't know many things, but I'm familiar with soul magic and teleportation magic. Your problem happens to be in my area of expertise."
