57. Reality

“Why are they not here yet?” Anders wondered.

  10 minutes before Anders wins,

Galen and Andrew were losing even though they were trying their best; they couldn’t find a way to defeat the scarred man.

  Punch!!

  BLOCK!!!

The scarred man blocked the punch of Galen with his left hand and was about to hit him.

  SMACKK!!!

He hit Galen with a lot of force using his right fist. Galen was thrown to the ground.

“This is the level of strength we need to face to save the village,” Andrew realised the reality.

“He is not even the leader; he might be a commander, but we can’t even lay a finger on him,” Andrew thought, frustrated.

“Is that all you guys have got?” the scarred man asked them.

“Galen is tired. He is the one who defeated 2 of the commanders. What am I doing here?” Andrew’s mind.

“I can’t do anything. I need to stop him, but how? How?” he is thinking as he is searching for the answers.

Andrew was slapping his face using both his hands with his eyes closed.

“Why can’t I stay calm? I don’t know what to do now.” Andrew’s mind was a mess.

He took a sword that was lying on the ground.

“I don’t know how to use a sword properly, but I have no choice but to try,” he thought.

“Now, you are going to use a sword, huh?” the scarred man said after seeing him take the sword.

Andrew ran forward, hoping for a clean swing with his sword.

  SWING!!

  HOLD!!!

“How’s he holding a sword with his bare hands when I swing?” Andrew thought, shocked.

“Time to end this,” the scarred man muttered.

  Impulse Descent!!!

He took out his sword and released the move that he had taught Veris a long time ago.

The scarred man used one of his strongest moves, which threw Andrew several meters apart to the ground.

The move was so powerful that everyone in the prison could hear the vibration of the strike.

  At the same time,

Anders began running towards the top level, but after he heard that sound from the bottom, he stood for a few seconds.

“What was that sound? What should I do now?” he couldn’t decide.

After a few seconds of thought,

He changed his plan and went running towards the bottom level, thinking that preventing the entry of many was more important than preventing one in the top level.

“He can’t even get the keys, so I think I made the right call,” Anders thought while running.

  At the same time,

Harkey looked at the time and decided to return to the prison.

“I think you guys are fine, let’s just escape from here, I can’t even imagine the consequences if we were trapped,” he muttered while driving the car.

“Wait! What if they needed help? Can I even fight there? Should I call someone for help?” his mind was confused.

“One of the knights could also come there by this time, but we have no other choice,” he couldn’t help but concentrate properly on driving.

He imagined the scenario that Ken told him about if they had escaped the prison safely. He lived that scenario for some minutes, barely managing to drive properly at the same time.

“I should stay here, huh?” he remembered his role if they had escaped.

“I can’t even see them after this,” he became emotional all of a sudden.

“That idiot doesn’t know how much he changed my perspective on life,” he muttered, recalling all the moments that he had with Ken.

“That hit is still right in my eyes. When no one dared to step in, he not only stepped in, but also hit him,” he recalled the moment when Ken hit Medrick.

“Ironically, he is saving that guy now. I don’t even know what to say. All I know for sure is that I am the only one who does nothing but the small things,” he said, holding his tears back.

He was approaching the middle of Drakel.

  Meanwhile,

  At the top level,

“What was that sound? Will Andrew and Galen be fine?” Ken worried.

“There must be a lot happening down there,” the man near Ken told him.

“If we find those keys, we can also fight in there,” the injured man muttered.

“I have found the keys!!!” Medrick came shouting in.

The remaining 3 had a smile on their face as they thought that they could finally escape that place.

“How did you know that place?” Medrick asked the injured man.

“That’s not important now, first open this cell,” the injured man replied.

Medrick opened the cells with those keys.

“Thank you, I will help you for now,” the injured man thanked them after he set foot outside.

“You don’t know how much this means to me. I am forever grateful to you, but I can only help you escape this prison,” the other prisoner said.

“Why is he more emotional now?” Medrick wondered.

“Hear me out, first—” Ken gave his plans to them.

  2 minutes later,

“Seems good, I will follow it, but remember I will not even care after escaping from here,” the injured man muttered.

“I hate this guy, he speaks too much,” Medrick thought.

“That’s smart, Ken, but it won’t work that way, anyway. Let’s try it,” the other one said after hearing the plan.

All 4 left the top level to execute their plan.

  At the first level,

“Who are you?” Anders asked when he saw the scarred man walking towards him.

“No one is with him, did he—” Anders thought.

“Commander, I don’t want to fight you guys, just leave the way,” the scarred man told him.

“Why should I leave the way for you?” Anders asked.

“I have some work to do in the next level, leave my way,” the scarred man replied.

“What if I don’t?” Anders initiated the fight.

Then the fight began between the scarred man and Anders.

Both had swords, both were highly skilled, and most importantly, both had their own purposes for this fight.

  Nearby Maxil,

The knight Acheron was coming along with his men. The king decided to send him, as he was the one who could handle pressure very well.

Eryo passed the message that was given to him by Tiberon. He was also coming with the knight and his men.

Almost 200 soldiers came alongside the knight. “They surely can’t beat our 3 commanders,” Acheron had hope in his commanders.

“The only danger is that if the invaders somehow manage to sneak into the third level and see him,” he thought about the worst possible scenario.

He didn’t know that the worst scenario he had thought was the exact thing that had happened there.
