  Ken didn’t attack any of the guards who chased him. He made them chase him all the way towards the top level.

  After reaching the top, he stopped.

  “Medrick, stop right here!” Ken ordered Medrick.

  “Ok, I don’t know what your plan is, but running is not my strength,” Medrick told Ken as his heart raced and his body was full of sweat as if he was struck in the rain.

  “Now, can I have fun with these guys?” Medrick asked, laughing.

  “Wait! I need one thing, to get it, we should fight these guys for some time, we should not defeat them quickly, so let them hurt you for some time,” Ken told his plans.

  “Ahh! Fine, but if I lose my patience, I might finish them,” Medrick replied, accepting Ken’s plan.

  “They have finally given up; now is our time to show them our strength,” one of the soldiers muttered when they saw both Ken and Medrick standing in front of them.

  Medrick also blocked the hits of the soldiers, even though his hands were itching to attack them.

  The sound made by these guys woke up a man who was there on the third level. He got up from the ground where he was sleeping and came forward from inside the cell to see the event that was happening there.

  “Who are they? Why are they here?” was the thought that came to his mind when he saw both Ken and Medrick blocking the soldiers.

  Almost 5 minutes passed as both Ken and Medrick were still only blocking.

  “Where is the key?” Ken asked the soldiers directly.

  “What key?” one soldier asked him.

  “The key to release them,” Ken said, pointing at the 2 cells that were present there.

  “Why should we tell you?” one muttered.

  “Don’t you know who is up there?” another soldier asked.

  “I don’t care who they are, I am going to release them now,” Ken replied, laughing.

  5 minutes had passed.

  “Medrick, it’s your time, have fun,” Ken told Medrick.

  Ken’s plan was about to be executed. He decided to read a random soldier’s mind, hoping that the soldier would think of the key’s location.

  The plan didn’t turn out well as Ken realised that none of the soldiers knew the location where the key was stored.

  “AHH!! What should I do now?” Ken shouted, and was frustrated.

  He began attacking the soldiers. It took less than 10 minutes for both of them to eliminate all the soldiers who attacked them.

  “I can help you find the key, but you have to release me,” a man inside one of the cells told Ken.

  Both Ken and Medrick walked up to the cell.

  They saw a man who looked like he was in his 20’s, but with injuries all around his body.

  “Who are you?” Medrick asked.

  “That’s not the right way to treat me, first go to the location that I would tell you and get the key,” That man muttered.

  “I believe you, tell us the location,” Ken told him.

  “Hey, how are you believing this strange guy?” Medrick asked Ken, not happy.

  “Medrick, we have no time left. We have no other choice but to believe him,” Ken replied.

  That man revealed the location to them.

  “Medrick, go there and bring the key,” Ken ordered him.

  “I have no choice then,” Medrick muttered and accepted Ken’s idea even though he was not fine with it.

  He ran towards the location where he was told.

  Ken noticed the other person who was also there on that level and approached him.

  “We would also release you. Can you help us?” he asked.

  “Why is he releasing me?” that man thought.

  “I would help you escape from here, but I can’t do anything more than that. Is it ok?” he asked.

  “Fine with me, I only need your help to escape from here. After we escape, you can also escape to your place,” Ken said, with a smile.

  “I want to see my daughter. I haven’t seen my family for over 20 years,” that man said, holding his tears back.

  Veris was tired, but he still had a slight hope, which was destroyed by the strike of Anders. Veris went down as Anders was the only commander who had survived the fight.
