Lucera later accepted her role.
“Ken, be careful, I don’t know what else to say,” she told, had belief.
Their conversation continued for another 30 minutes as Ken thought he could share all his thoughts, as he knew that this wouldn’t last long.
Ken had initiated a new hobby of writing a diary on New Year’s Day. He didn’t write about his childhood or his past; his diary starts with meeting Lucera.
He almost wrote about his encounter with the cave, but later realised it might be dangerous for him to write it there because he knew that if anyone somehow read it, they might find out about his powers, so he thought about where to start.
He thought, thought and thought for over an hour, and came to a conclusion of beginning with Lucera.
He wrote about how he felt seeing her, speaking with her, but didn’t write about the powers he used on her.
This hobby of Ken wasn’t just writing about memories. He has this habit of wanting to remember random things that happened on random days of the year.
He thought sometimes he forgot about things that had happened to him, so he thought maybe by writing the diary and expressing his thoughts and feelings in diary would make a lot of sense.
His internal thoughts, conflicts, and loneliness he felt on some random days, he wrote it all. He kept his diary versatile; whenever he remembered certain events, he would put on that date and write about it even though he wished to keep it organised.
It consists of his memories that he made with his friends, Lucera’s friends and thoughts he wants to share, but couldn’t due to some reasons, he wrote it all.
“Whenever I speak to her, my heart starts pounding fast, I don’t know why, but I never intended to know why, I just love talking to her,” was his first line of the diary.
“Maybe I could be a writer in a different universe,” he thought while walking home after he met with Lucera.
“I wish I could write stories too, but time is my only enemy. Maybe in the future, after I am free, I will write my story and explain it to Lucera,” he began daydreaming.
“What if someone explains a story with me as a hero? That would be cool, but I am not a hero, and no one would write a story with me as the MC,” he thought and laughed.
“Who is he? Why is he laughing seeing the sky? Weirdo?” was the reaction of everyone seeing him on the road.

March 12th, Monday,
Both Ken and Andrew were nervous as they couldn’t concentrate on their training sessions properly, even at college, they were thinking about the raid they were about to make.
Surprisingly, Harkey was relaxed somehow.
Meanwhile,
Somewhere in Aurelios,
“I have returned, Veris—” the brown-haired guy told Veris on the call.
“We are glad by your arrival here, supreme,” Veris told him.
“Stop glazing me, I am going to check on our men near the prison. Is everything going right?” he asked.
“Yes, everything is fine. Can I come there with you?” Veris asked.
“Fine, I will wait for you in Calydria. Come there before 3:00 pm,” he muttered.
March 13th, Tuesday,
In the evening,
All 4 assembled at their routine spot at 5:00 pm.
Everyone lied to their parents about going on to see a friend who was admitted due to an accident.
Ken called Lucera.
“I am about to go there, Lucera, wish me luck,” he muttered.
“I am about to wish for him to commit a crime, how ironic this life is?” she thought.
“Ken, I know you are going to succeed in this. Come back safe,” She replied.
Then Ken stepped into the car as a thrilling adventure awaited.
“I am nervous, I hope we succeed in it,” Galen told them.
“I have never seen him nervous,” was the reaction of the remaining 3.
“It will be fine, as long as we execute our plan, everything would be fine,” Andrew told Galen.
“We have the great Ken with us. Why are you nervous?” Harkey said and laughed.
Both Andrew and Galen laughed, hearing it.
“Great Ken? I am just a normal guy,” Ken said.
“You fought against the villagers and promised that you would protect our village, you even risked your life in capturing them, you are honestly amazing, Ken,” Harkey gave his thoughts.
“Thanks for being a friend with me, Ken,” he added.
“What is he speaking? I am the one who is lucky to have them, am I that worth it?” Ken couldn’t hold back his emotions as he almost cried.
Several years back,
Back when Ken was in school,
Whenever his teacher asked his students to form a group for an assignment, everyone would ignore Ken thinking he was weird due to him thinking about something all the time.
Only some talk to him, and after some days, they would call him a weirdo and leave him. Ken wasn’t the delinquent, smartest in the class, or an extrovert. He doesn’t like to act as he thinks being himself is the right thing.
He always flips his coin during his school days whenever he wants to decide, even if the choice is obvious.
One day, he even explained to his mother about not having friends and cried.
“Don’t worry, Ken, you are kind and normal, I know it, your father knew this.” She couldn’t hold back her tears either, but she controlled them.
“You would definitely find friends who like the way you are, you would definitely find them,” she told him.
“Will they like me the way I am?” he asked, crying.
“Mm, I am sure you would find them,” she muttered.
Ken never hoped for friends who would make him happy; he wants them to make themselves happy by whatever he can do.
Even during his first meeting with Lucera or even Andrew, he tried to make them laugh, even if he did that intentionally or just by fate.
He made Lucera laugh unknowingly, but when he spoke with Andrew for the first few days, he would try to make Andrew laugh without losing his original character.
Later he realised, even if he doesn’t make them laugh intentionally, because of his instinctive character, he makes them laugh and happy.
Even though he is never able to share about his powers, he was happy that he could share his thoughts with his friends who would actually listen to him.
From being alone to having many friends, Ken’s life changed a lot in the past year, but this is not the end; it’s just the beginning of his adventure.
