Ken’s morning started off with an unexpected surprise. When he was walking to his bus stop, he opened his phone just to not feel bored while walking.
“Whattt, is this for real?”, he exclaimed. “She texted me for the first time”, he couldn’t control his happiness.
Ken exchanges his number with all the 6 that he met on Sunday but was shocked by the text from Lucera.
“Good morning, Ken”, the text said. Even though it’s just a greeting, Ken felt so happy as he received a text from someone for the first time.
No one texted Ken ever.
Even in his school days, the person who know his number never texted him but he didn’t feel sad about it as he thought he was not good for friendships.
“Should I text her back”, ken in a confusion state. “Maybe I should, let’s just text the same thing”, he greeted back.
As the bus timing was approaching, he kept his phone inside and ran towards his stop as he was stunned by the text and stood there thinking for like 5 minutes.
A notification sound rang but Ken knew which is important to him, Text or bus.
Obviously text. He stood on the way to his stop and took his phone to see the notification.
“Have you reached your college?”, text asked. “Of course, not”, the mind. “On the way”, the text.
“She is texting quickly, how am I supposed to keep up?” he muttered while walking slowly.
The bus came and went as Ken watched it leave. “Even though I could catch it if I run, If I miss, then I would become a meme to others,” his thought.
“It’s better to be safe than take risk as failure means losing it all,” he added.
Then the casual conversations gone for like 10 minutes and she left as her classes is about to begin.
“Wait a minute, do the classes start this early for her? Too bad,” he thought smiling.
He then checks his watch only to realize that it is not her classes that starts early but the time is 9.32 am.
“Oh, my watch should be broken right, right?” he half-smiled nervously.
He then started running towards his college and reached there on 9.41 am.
“Well, I made it within 10 minutes, but the universe doesn’t care about it, it only cares about me getting punished,” he muttered as his heart racing.
He then enters the college and opened his class. “What happened, Ken? Why are you late?” the teacher.

“I missed my bus and came by walk,” he replied.
Even though it was a seemingly good reason but his face showed otherwise as he was sweating, breathing fast and looks like he has run two miles.
But the teacher was in a hurry to teach so he allows him inside. Everyone stared at him as if he was from a different country.
Andrew thought of asking a reason but he was far from ken’s seating so he couldn’t.
The break came. “What happened? Why are you late?” Andrew’s question.
“I got a text from her, so I stood there texting back and forth until it was time,” he replied.
“Hey, that’s interesting,” Andrew smiled at ken as his smile conveyed a message to him.
“Nothing, it’s just that I am being dumb, texting instead of coming soon,” Ken said.
“Who knows, let me see,” Andrew’s response.
The day of college ended as Ken waited for the text from Lucera while walking home.
“Just leave it, when you wait for something, nothing happens, but when you leave something, everything happens,” Andrew told him.
“Woah, you should write a book, it was so good,” Ken shocked by the quote of Andrew.
“Maybe soon,” Andrew’s reply.
Then Ken reached his home, tries to follow Andrew’s words, but was still hoping for a text.
“What am I doing, I am not this kind of person,” he is thinking.
“I should not care, if it comes, I reply, that’s it,” he took a resolution.
Then he goes to his room, starts writing the count that he used today.
Ken’s routine in the evening is that he would write down the number of times, he used his powers on that day.
When he is about to sleep, he recalls the events that happened on cave.
He realized, he still hasn’t found how he got his power even though he done the sacrifice only once.
He recalls all his memories that he could remember, but he could still not see when he done the sacrifice before.
“The cave writing must be true, but when did I done the sacrifice before?” he thought deeply.
“The cave itself is weird in a way it’s built and that stone being there just after the 2 unique stones,” he starts overthinking.
“It seemed too perfect for nature to be like that Did someone build it?” he thought for a while.
“Nah, I don’t there is that much creative and supernatural person in this world,” he added.
“But wait, I am also supernatural, so what if there are other persons who are there in this world living with super powers,” his random thought.
“That would be pretty scary if we treated them like normal person,” his brain.
“But how did I get a power for nothing, I did a sacrifice but its only blood that too on a small amount,” he muttered.
Little did he know, the power he got also has a curse with it.
Not just a normal curse and an easy solution, but a curse that is never broken for over 16 centuries.
He slept thinking about his powers.
The next morning, he awakes and got ready for college. This time, he catches the bus and went there on time.
While he was at his class, he thought something different.
“Maybe I should learn fighting, as I would read the mind of opponents, it should be easy, so I need to try once,” his mind is already giving him a glimpse of his fighting skills.
In the lunch break, he asked Andrew whether he knows fighting pro.
“Not really, but I am good at reflexes,” he answered. “Let’s fight tomorrow,” Ken told him.
“What, are you joking?” Andrew laughing loud. “I am serious,” he replied.
“Ok, let’s fight at around 5 pm tomorrow,” he suggested.
“Ok,” Ken accepted it.
The day ended as Ken returned home and started punching walls. “Ahh, it hurts,” Ken is going to fight for the first time.
“I should be able to win tomorrow,” he thought fighting is easy.
He practiced punching walls for 10 minutes and felt exhausted so he went to sleep.
“Why he asks to fight all of a sudden,” Andrew thought.
“Something feels odd,” he is confused by Ken’s words.
The iconic day arrived as Ken started the day by going to college on bus. Andrew and Ken spoke casually unlike people who is going to fight.
The day ended as Ken spends his entire day thinking about all scenarios that might happen while fighting.
He returned home and prepared for his fight then leaves at around 4.50pm.
Andrew does the same but leaves around at 4.40pm as they both walked towards fighting place.
The fighting place is a region just under the mountain where not a lot of people would go.
Their clash is about to start as they both reached the place on time and started laughing at each other for no reason.
