Leo's Cosmic Journey?: A New Life Amongst the Stars

  During the battle between humans and machines, genetic modification was a necessity if they were going to win the war. Despite people's reservations, claiming it would make people into abominations, it was done out of necessity. Without these genetically modified individuals, humanity would not have won the war, but that didn't matter to society. After the war, an event called The Genetic Rift began. It was a political conflict between those who supported and those who opposed genetic modifications. Over time, violent and discriminatory acts deepened the divide, leading the genetically modified individuals, now labeled as demi-humans, to board a massive spaceship and leave Earth in search of peace among the stars, occasionally picking up others who shared their beliefs. One night, an unsuspecting young man named Leo Carter was mistakenly teleported out of his bed and aboard the vessel. When he opened his eyes, he was greeted by a beautiful cat girl. Initially, he thought he was dreaming, but then remembered learning about The Traitor’s War. His eyes widened as he realized this person was a demi-human, the very race that had been driven off the planet because people couldn't live with the idea of someone being different. His moment of realization was cut short as she took his hand and led him to their king. After explaining the situation, the king presented him with the choice of staying aboard their vessel or returning home.
