Chapter- 62 (Colbys Despair)

But that wasn’t true, was it?

Mark hadn't disappeared, he was simply hiding somewhere. A place where they couldn't reach, or maybe the mist couldn't.

And the moment that thought appeared in Colby’s mind, he looked at himself or both of his bodies in horror.

What other place could there be besides inside his body where the mist couldn't reach?

Although the mist could dissolve his body, his immense regeneration power could automatically heal all of that up in milliseconds.

Not to say, he had made sure to protect his head with five extra layers of safety, making sure that nothing could pierce his skull.

These two new bodies of his were different from the giant bodies he had created before.

His previous giant body was made of tens of thousands of wolves attached together, but they were all separate entities. All ten thousand wolves existed alive. So whenever anyone pierced some of his wolves heads and killed them, he simply discarded those dead wolves' bodies.

But these two bodies were mixed together to create one single entity, one single being.

They were immensely powerful and had a single brain each, and if those brains got pierced, they would die. Period.

Why did he do that? Because he simply couldn’t control that many bodies. So either he could create a super-giant body to deter and defeat Mark, or use tens of thousands of bodies to outnumber him.

So he did the former and created two gigantic bodies using all five gifts his wolves possessed.

  Reason?

  Simple.

Because every time Mark disappeared into the darkness to reappear, he was always coming back stronger, and he was sure as hell that this time wouldn't be any different, and this time Mark had disappeared for five freaking hours.

What if he came back becoming tens or maybe even hundreds of times stronger, huh?

Everything was possible when it came to that monster.

  Everything and anything!

So using normal wolves, thousand wolves, and ten thousand wolves giants was a big no-go.

Thus, accordingly, he created two giant bodies, but now that very decision was coming back to bite him on the ass.

Unauthorized duplication: this narrative has been taken without consent. Report sightings.

So now either he could give up the advantage of having such a gigantic body, or he could simply split his body into tens of wolves to have enough bodies just in case anything out of the situation happened, and he was sure that was exactly what would happen once he did that.

So knowing all that, instead of taking any of the above decisions, Colby howled.

  AWWWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO……..

He howled as both of his bodies started sucking in the burning mist.

Mist, which was as hot as the magma itself, as the mist entered both of his bodies and started messing around, dissolving his organs, his muscles, his skin, and evaporating his blood.

It was as if until his entire body was completely engulfed by it and dissolved, the mist simply wouldn't stop.

  AWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO………

Howling and crying, Colby endured all the pain, let his bodies get dissolved, let the mist ruin him from the inside out, but what made him furious was that even after all that, there was still no notification of pronouncing Mark's death.

“IS HE EVEN INSIDE THE CIRCLE? IS HE EVEN HERE??” Asked Colby furiously as he stared at the Butler sitting in the sky.

“He is inside the circle, and he is alive. If you can’t find him, that’s your problem, don’t go around questioning my authority.” The butler glared as he then harrumphed and closed his eyes to sit straight, not caring about the fight or torture inside the shield.

“FUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKK………….” Colby cursed as slowly he let his body build back up and instead created a shield of fire around his flying body.

While the second body, which was standing in the same area where the deep sea water was, also did the same, and started emitting a red aura, which started keeping the mist and everything at bay.

And just like that, both of his bodies stood, but still there was no sign of Mark anywhere.

Instead, 30 minutes later, something frightful happened, the shield started contracting.

  CCCCCCCCHHHHHHHHHRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR………..

Making the irritating noise, the shield started contracting, making Colby frightened enough to run forward and protect both of his bodies, as he came towards the center, and finally the shield stopped, when its size became half of what it was before, making his mouth become distorted.

The smaller the size was, the more his chances of getting struck onto the shield would be, and once both of his bodies got struck onto the shield thrice, it would be his death.

But what made everything worse was the mist itself. After getting contracted by the shield, the mist gathered all together and raised the temperature twice as much as before.

It made his already burning body burn even furiously.

But controlling his fury and agony, Colby looked at the remaining time, which was showing on top of his map, to help him know what the real time he had left, while the mist was covering the shield.

  6 hours.

That was the only time remaining for him and Mark. That was the final time, and if they didn’t kill each other within that time, they would both die.

Just thinking about death made Colby’s stomach churn. He wouldn’t have cared if he was in a position where Mark was in absolute power and he was passively enduring.

No, he would’ve even enjoyed such a situation, but the thing was, reality was reversed.

And he was the one who held the absolute power, and that made everything painful for him.

If Mark wasn’t hiding, he would’ve squashed him to death like an ant and then become the only winner of this so-called test.

But Mark was hiding, and he couldn’t do anything about it but wait for him and his own death, which was dreadful.

Knowing the time of one's own death was more dreadful than he thought, and this was death he could protect himself from, all he needed to do was kill Mark, and all that made everything even more agonizing.
