Chapter- 37 (Unknown Girl And An Invitation For The Final Battle)

Since the island was split, a number started showing in the middle of every piece to show which number land was which; that was what the girl was saying as the island number.

But not caring about all that, Mark asked, "How many warriors have you gathered?"

“One. He is on the island no. 6. He can interchange between two elements, fire and light. If you come, chances of defeating that group will rise exponentially." Replied the girl.

Nodding his head, Mark asked, "And what can you do, Miss? What are your powers that you are going around deciding who is a worthy warrior or not?"

"I am an assassin. I can come and go anywhere I want." As if to show how truthful her words were, the next second the girl disappeared, and when she reappeared, she was just two feet away from Mark, and next second she again disappeared, but this time when she reappeared, she was in an entirely different tree which was still within Mark's sight.

Light clapping his hand, Mark spoke, "I am impressed, Miss. I will come, when do we start then?"

“Soon, very soon. Let me first finish all the unworthy people and gather real warriors, and then we can begin. After killing the group, we can fight each other, and whoever is left alive will become the winner." The girl said, clearing everything from the beginning.

"No problem," Mark said, and the moment his words left his mouth, the girl disappeared, not waiting anymore.

The next moment, Mark disappeared too, and when he reappeared, he was standing exactly where the girl was standing.

There in the air lay a leaf floating, which was twirling around and slowly falling.

Mark caught the leaf and smirked as he then looked in the direction where the girl had reappeared, which was another piece of land, where now she was watching another man, gauging whether he was worthy or not.

Looks like he wasn't, because the next moment his head was gone from his body, and with that, the girl was also gone.

In the sky, the number had fallen from 419 to 287, and not even an hour had passed since the island tore itself into 16 pieces.

It was as if someone had pushed the fast-forward button, making everyone go insane, slaughtering each other at sight, and in that his contribution was 7 people. How great was that?

Not caring about all that, Mark pulled three pieces of fish meat and started feeding his hunger until he was fully satiated.

Hearing the dings, Mark realized he had forgotten about the notifications he had heard when he killed Nora and others, and brought the notifications out.

Tch, Elemental Resistance points, it would’ve been better if they had given him Strength stat or some other stat.

Right now, elemental stat points meant literally nothing to him, unless they came in great numbers, but still, something was better than nothing.

Thinking all that, Mark finally pulled his status panel out, which he hadn’t checked since the island had split.

Lo and behold, not only had he transformed once since the island split, he was just a single point away from another transformation, and again, it was his Agility Stat.

He got 4.4 stat points from killing the Bloody Wolves, while the last point just came from eating the fish meat.

He got 9.8 Strength stat points from killing the ants, while the other 0.3 points came from killing the man at the start when the island had just split, Emma, and Michael.

Natalia gave him 0.1 Intelligence Stat Point. Fishes meat gave him 0.2 Vitality Stat Point.

Last but not least, Joey, Noah, and Nora gave him 0.3 Elemental Resistance Stat Points.

That is how he got these brand new stats, which were shining and showing him how great a job he had done.

Now it was time to get his last Agility point, which was the easiest thing to do, cuz the fishes were still swimming right where he had fed them, Natalia.

Now that he had fed them, it was time to reap his reward, so without waiting, Mark pulled his gun out.

The same gun that had slaughtered the ants like hell, and pointed his gun towards the fishes.

  RATATATATATATATATATATATA………

Like a mad killer, the gun rang, making the sound so furious that it shook the forest itself, while the fishes got drilled so many times within one second that their shrills couldn’t even come out before they died and turned the water red.

[Killer gift activated, permanently stealing 0.1*12 Agility Stat.]

[Killer gift activated, permanently stealing 0.1*11 Vitality Stat.]

In a second, 23 fishes died, and the next second, Mark was gone, hiding inside the darkness, roaring like hell in agony, rubbing his body furiously, as if the thousands of ants were drilling him from the inside out, but just like the raging pain came, five seconds later it disappeared.

But all Mark felt like doing was scream some more, kick the darn tree that was in front of him, and then obliterate it in anger.

Every time, all the time, this darn pain was coming for five seconds, and making a hell of him to just go away, as if no big deal.

But it was a big deal, very big deal, cuz each time, the darn pain only increased instead of decreasing, making him go insane, making him want to just kill and butcher something or someone.

But hey, this was the world where killing and butchering were right and just, so that is exactly what he would do; who was there to stop him here, no?
