Two full days of interrogation and we've got nothing! The ssh Cole put on the bandit's face has grown far worse. I told Cole not to go that far, but he never listens! We need to get to Redfang soon! If we don't, our one way of gaining info on Envy... gone! Just like that! And I can't let that happen."You fucks are in trouble here, aren't ya!" The bandit chuckles, "Honestly... I'd just kill me at this point, since, y'know, I'm dying soon.""Shut up, I'm not letting you die just yet." I snap back.Gluttony's rotting corpse lies in the corner of our tent as a reminder to the bandit, a reminder of what he did, leading us to the sin. The sin's stomach grows smaller by the day, attempting to keep a corpse alive. Soon enough, he may look like an actual person, and not a sb of fat-filled meat.We caught our bandit here, just outside the tower of mirrors, about three days ago. We would've left him alone, but it just so happened to be the guard from the gate. The creepy one with the final one of Kara's little blood talisman. This bandit has been quite the tool, honestly, but he's also been... Very disobedient. We did get Gluttony's location out of him, but it seems that was a one-time deal, a way to save his own life. It worked, we can't really just ditch such a useful tool, but he hasn't given us much to work with tely, and my partner's only growing more impatient and... Honestly... Quite violent."Caleb, do we have any more firewood?" Cole asks me, stepping inside the tent."We ran out st night..." I answer, "Which is another reason we should really get moving.""We're not leaving just yet. Envy will be here soon, and once he is, all of our problems go away." He tells me."What about Pyra and the others? How'll they find us?" I say, "The letter said we'd be in Redfang, and where are we? Not in fucking Redfang. We're not even close to Redfang, actually, we went the other goddamn direction!"Cole stands there, axe in hand. His eyes, or his pupils more directly, are dited, and his mouth stays shut. He slowly brings the axe tip up to eye level with himself. He stares for a few seconds before turning away and letting his arm and the axe drop to his side."We're not leaving, and that's final." He says while opening the tent's entrance and stepping outside."He's in a mood today." The bandit sighs, "Why do you even need to know where Envy is anyway? I thought you were trying to strike a deal with him, or however you worded it.""In case we need to kill him... Which, honestly, Cole really doesn't seem like he's gonna go through with it." I tell the bandit, "He's so dead set on the whole, 'Envy's my friend, he'll get Hades' to spare us' bullshit. He won't... And I'm gonna be stuck fighting him alone!"I push myself off my chair and grab the back of the chair, spinning it around to face the bandit. The way I was sitting was getting uncomfortable, backwards like a detective in a movie. I take a step, sitting in the chair normally, and leaning towards the bandit, putting our faces just inches apart."I can help you kill him." He sneers.I raise my hand to the bandit's face, rubbing the area around the cut. I check for any green part, while also making sure to grip his face, opening up any pces too close to healing. Do we want the injury to heal? Yes, but that may not be an option. If this truly is his st days alive... I'm getting everything I need, any little bit of information on Maria's location and how to kill those sin bastards.I slowly lower my hand, moving it away from the bandit's red, smeared, and swollen face. For a few seconds, there's silence; neither of us moves, nor talks, for what feels like hours. It's still, and for the first time in what feels like months... Calm. I've been fighting for so long now... There truly hasn't been a full week where I haven't fought a single person since I left Louis' farm."That's not happening." I sigh as I pull myself from the chair and walk over to my sword lying by Gluttony's body.I bend down, slowly ying my palm on the handle. My fingers wrap around it, and using very little force, I lift the sword from the ground. I pull the sword close to my face and calmly unsheathe the bde, a crimson red color covering the sharp end and tip."I'm so tired..." I mutter aloud, whether on accident or on purpose, I couldn't say."Huh?" The bandit says.On its own, I feel my body turn, but my vision blurs... The sword unsheathes itself. The crimson red bde, a blood-covered bde, ys its edge on the bandit's neck."I'll give you one st chance... Where's Envy, and when is he gonna arrive?" I say between gritted teeth."I'm not gonna tell you." The bandit says with a look of disdain.I slowly press the bde against his neck, a slow stream of blood dripping down past his shoulders and spshing on the floor in a rain-like burst. Suddenly, Cole rushes into the tent, the fabric's loud, breaking our silence."He's here!" Cole shouts, "I told you he'd come!"I whip my sword back, quickly pcing it in the sheath and walking towards the entrance."You good...?" He asks me."I'm fine," I reply, walking past him, feeling the stares of both him and the bandit.Envy sits by our fire; it's a long burnout fire. His green hair and eyes glimmer in the light of the setting sun, and his tall figure, short for a sin but tall for a man, has a well-built aspect about it for being so very skinny. He looks perfect, far more perfect than me... Honestly, I'm jealous of his power, yes, but imagine a life like his.
