I can't stop thinking about that bounty hunter business. It's hard to decide whether or not to take it! It could be dangerous, but it could also earn us tons of money! Do we even need money anyways? Hilt was the one that was holding onto it when Caleb and Cole went missing, so we have more than enough. But there's also the chance we run out, since I have no idea how long we'll be here. Maybe I'll just ask Ronny for more details or something.
For now, I'll just enjoy my soup! I'm gd Hilt agreed to come here, it's damn good! I'd bet my life Caleb would enjoy this pce, maybe we can come back here when we find him. This pce reminds me of one of those cafés in Tristane, the white colors are really nice honestly.
"Shall I bring your check?" The waitress asks, a rge grin on her face.
Gd I've never had to work at a restaurant, being nice to everyone, all day would kill me. And their smile! Honestly... It's creepily nice.
"Yeah, I'd say we're ready." I answer, returning her smile.
"Great! It'll be right out." She says.
The waitress walks away, leaving us alone for a second.
"Something wrong?" Hilt asks.
"No, why would you think that?" I chuckle.
"Well, you just seem deeper in thought recently." Hilt tells me, "Is anything on your mind?"
"Well... I met this guy handing out bounties." I say, "And I've been debating whether or not to take one."
Hilt pauses for a few seconds. She begins to talk when the waitress comes back.
"Here's the check, and some complimentary chocotes." She says.
"Thanks." Hilt says.
Hilt grabs the check and pen, then writes a three. She then puts it back down and pces eight silver and three copper down on top of the check.
"I say take it." Hilt shrugs.
"You sure? It could be pretty dangerous." I ask her.
"And? We're all warriors! Nothing we can't deal with." She replies.
I always thought Hilt was the rational one here. But, she is right! We're all warriors! There's nobody we can't face together, I'll just go back to Ronny tomorrow for some more details. Hilt stands up from her seat and tilts her head towards the door. Me and Teir get up from our spots and we walk out of the restaurant.
It's already dark out by the time we get to our inn and Teir's half asleep. She practically lunges towards her bed. Hilt likes to sleep on the floor, makes her feel more safe I guess. This works well for a two bed inn, since everyone gets their own pce. We also get to save money on inns with different room options. I should probably just go to bed now, if I'm really gonna go after this Maria girl, it'd be beneficial to move out by tomorrow.
Hilt's gone by the time I wake up, while Teir's still asleep. I don't want to leave her alone here but it'd also be nice to talk to Ronny early. I wonder what Hilt's doing, maybe she'll be back before Teir wakes up! Even if she isn't, I can trust Teir to not leave by herself. I step out of my bed and walk over to a mirror. My hair looks horrible! It's fine, I'll fix it ter. I grab my staff and put on my usual hat to cover my hair. Once I'm downstairs, I get over to the front desk.
"Something up Pyra?" The receptionist asks.
"Yeah, I was just wondering how many more days we have here?" I tell her.
"Today should be your st day." She answers.
"Great, thanks." I say, "I'll see if Teir and Hilt want to stay a while longer."
The sky's an ominous red today and the air smells like rain. The demon territory is really unpredictable honestly. One day it's bright and sunny, the next looks like hell on Greater Earth. I can't wait to get back to the giant territory. I reach the shopping district, it's not as busy as usual. People must be staying inside due to the weather. Ronny's stand has a group of people standing around it, as I get closer I can hear their conversation.
"Would thisss one work for you?" Ronny asks.
"Yeah! This one's perfect, thanks!" One of the men says before walking off.
They seem to be standing in a line, I wonder if Ronny is usually this busy? I should probably get in line. There's about three people in front of me, not a long wait. It takes just about a minute before the very front person leaves. As I step forward a rge man in armor cuts in front of me.
"Hey!" I yell.
"What?" He ughs.
"I was here first." I tell him.
The man ughs before turning around. What's this guy's problem? I should teach him a lesson! No, no. I can't get into fights around here, especially when I'm alone and on a time limit. Another guy comes up behind me. He stays there for a second before tapping me on the shoulder.
"Hmm?" I mutter.
"Hey, that guy in front of you." He whispers, "You need me to deal with him? He's kind of the town asshole, so I wouldn't mind staging a fight or something."
"It's fine." I tell him, "What's an extra minute of waiting."
The guy scratches the back of his head and then walks off. He seems nice, and he's the only other human around as of now. The other people clear out quickly, it's just me and the armored guy. He's taking a pretty long time, I can't even hear their conversation since their whispering. The man still walks off after a little, as he walks away, he makes sure to lift up his helmet and give me a creepy smirk. It's the same boar from that bcksmith... Didn't think that guy would be an asshole.
I step up to Ronny's stand and give him the poster.
"You from yessterday!" Ronny says, "How are thingsss going?"
"Things are good..." I let out a sigh, "Would you happen to have any more information on this bounty?"
"Yesss I would!, did you dessside to go after her?" He asks.
"Yeah, my friends said I should try it out." I shrug.
Ronny takes a look at the poster and sets it on the table. He crouches down and searches through a small box behind him. After a few seconds, he stands back up and pces a paper over on the poster.
"That'sss all the information they gave me!" Ronny tells me.
"This can work! Thanks Ronny." I say.
"Not a problemsss!" Ronny chuckles.
