  PART 2 – Elections!

  Almost a year after the attack on Paradise!

  Several conflicts with the remnants of the Churches of Light, especially the Radiant Church, probably the strongest religion in the world, now fallen from grace.

  Without their god, they no longer knew what to do and pced all the bme on Skar. They tried everything to harm her, but were ignored, and other Churches took advantage of the situation to try to befriend Skar and take over the faith of the Gods of Light.

  Skar did almost nothing, but received a lot of hatred from the people for what she did, but this only increased her image in the eyes of everyone. Someone capable of even killing gods.

  And in the midst of all this, a few months ago Skar made it official to everyone in Krugar that elections would begin. A new system would be implemented.

  It had existed before, but those elected were there mainly because Skar allowed it. Many had been in power for many years, there was nothing to be done, there were several areas to work on, and constantly changing the rulers of certain regions could dey pns.

  But now that everything was more stable and soon entire nations would be absorbed into Krugar, they needed to structure the base in the states under Krugar's possession. Establishing municipal politicians such as “councilors” and “mayors” who represent their people in the municipalities. Then we have state politicians such as ‘deputies’ and “governors” who represent the state in general. Finally, there are federal politicians who are “Deputies” and ‘Senators’ who have influence over the entire country. The position of “President” is not yet avaible.

  With that, she opened the “Electoral Fund,” and the government would bank a fixed amount of support for those who would run for office. But there are several conditions; not just anyone can simply try to run for office.

  The minimum requirement is to have an education equivalent to high school. But not only that, if you have a college degree, you can run if you have a few years of experience and real skills for the position you want to hold. If you don't have a college degree, it's not a big problem; there are many capable people, entrepreneurs, geniuses, and more.

  In other words, you need to have some power and influence to request the “Electoral Fund.” This money should be used to test your abilities, from making reforms for the people to using it for personal advertising, etc.

  The main purpose is to demonstrate your talents for managing the people and increasing their satisfaction, your charisma with people, and more. It's not enough to just smile, be pretty, and get votes; you have to show that you will use the votes and money you have at your disposal wisely.

  And Skar worked hard for the education of the people. She could have easily turned them into idiots easily influenced by pretty words and powerful speeches, idolizing their politicians as if they were gods, and even when their mistakes and corruption are proven, they still ignore it.

  Skar does not want a stupid people. So while she still holds power, she wants to establish a meritocratic mindset in these people as much as possible. Effort will never betray you; your efforts can take you far.

  Study, invest, be smart. The levels you acquire? You no longer need to focus on physical abilities, on having an incredibly powerful body. Intellect can give you a better life than you can imagine.

  But do you need strength to defend yourself? Various styles of martial arts are being made avaible, learn them, acquire passive skills, improve your proficiency, and acquire enough for self-defense.

  The government will protect you with its soldiers and specialists, police officers protect you, and crime is falling every day. People will live in peace, have time to focus on their intellect, and not on becoming absurdly stronger.

  This is how society evolves and stabilizes.

  And by giving people a mindset of effort from an early age, of choosing leaders who will actually add good things to their lives, not just someone who knows how to talk nicely, but truly capable and successful people.

  Thus began the first elections for councilors, mayors, deputies, and governors.

  Political groups emerged, those aspiring to be state governors, allying themselves with individuals who wanted to be mayors and deputies. They were associated with various other political groups in the capital, the current senators and ministers, the main military forces, and more.

  Various political intrigues arose, and now the people could decide who would lead them. They saw these people working hard, negotiating with suppliers of materials to repair streets, plumbing, public parks, and more.

  Others solved problems that their predecessors had failed to address or had allowed to accumute. Many who still wanted to maintain their power began to show their worth, but the people that Skar had developed were not so foolish as to accept this.

  They had spent years asking for improvements, filing compints, and many were ignored. This rarely reached the government, but when it did, there were certainly solutions, but the work was to get to them.

  And now, these incompetent people were seeing the people choose others. They tried to ally themselves with the most famous and influential candidates for mayor and governor. Many were ignored because they did not want to be associated with them.

  As election time approached, their efforts became more drastic, and what Skar had hoped for happened. Mistakes were made and arrests were made, but she was not the cause; she gave space for the new politicians to shine.

  Even though she left much for the people to decide, she still maniputed the overall situation to a certain extent. There are individuals who she believes should not come to power, not before the future presidential parties begin to emerge in earnest.

  If she gives these people room to develop, when Skar officially abdicates her position, they will certainly form groups with simir mindsets and aim for the presidential post.

  She will not allow corruption to arise so soon. She will strengthen political groups and patriotism, allowing people who truly love this nation to remain in power. Individuals who will strive for the future and progress of Krugar.

  ...

  The elections arrived, and nearly 80% of all councilors, mayors, and deputies were repced, while in the current five states that make up Krugar, all five governors were repced.

  Skar personally went to each state to swear in the governor, alongside the previous governor. She did not give speeches, she was just there to accompany and show her support, as it was not her day.

  And when all the elections were over, the federal deputies, elected by the people, went to the first Assembly to be sworn in and hear what Skar had to say to welcome them all.

  With the cameras focused on her and being seen by the whole country... not only Krugar, but perhaps by much of the entire continent and some neighbors.

  “Today we formally finalize the repcement of the previous politicians with those selected by the people. My congratutions to all those elected. I know that in a short time you will be hating each other and fighting over bills in order to improve our great country.” Laughter ensued.

  "I am sincerely very proud of what we have achieved in recent years. From the wildest nd on the entire Seahorse Continent to the nd of freedom and opportunity, we are synonymous with progress and technology throughout the world. I won't be modest. I spent decades working weeks without sleep to get everything on track, and I have to say, it was hell, especially without capable and decent people to help manage the entire territory in its early days. You must have seen how many ended up in prison, and rightly so, for their sins against this institution.

  So thank you for everyone's efforts over the years, for studying and developing yourselves, for being willing to share ideas and try to improve this incredible nation even further. I am one person, what I can do is limited, and that is why I need talent from countless areas to complement me. Every true leader needs reliable people."

  “As you know me, I'm not the type to speak grandly, I'm simple and direct. I welcome you to this house and expect great things from everyone present. Before I begin to mention some important issues that should be discussed with everyone present, I need to make an announcement to everyone who is listening.”

  “In the st year, I have acted very recklessly. You must have heard the rumors that I have not only angered the Demon Realm, but that no one cares, that all suffering is too little for them.” Skar rolls her eyes mockingly.

  “But I also angered Heaven for personal reasons, which I won't go into detail about. However, my family and I are facing several situations, and as many of you know, I represent Krugar, just as Krugar's evolution represents me. But this will no longer be the case in a few years.”

  "My dream has always been to create an independent nation, without kings or emperors, nor eternal or hereditary leaders. I practically purged the nobility from these nds. Naturally, there are many noble families, but Krugar did not adapt to these families; they had to adapt to us. They had to accept progress and capitalism. Where just being physically or magically strong is not enough to be someone in this world. You need to have intelligence and the ability to make money, to truly contribute to society as a whole."

  “Today, the powerful are not the old noble families, but those who have money, business owners. Many here are successful entrepreneurs who came from nothing, from the mud. Not all of us were born rich or powerful, but we achieved it, and everyone watching this can achieve it too if they work hard.”

  Skar smiles for the cameras.

  “So I hereby decree, and there will be no negotiation. In 20 years from now, in the 5th election, the position of President will be avaible. I will formally abdicate my position as Empress of Krugar when the time comes, and the people will decide who will repce me.”

  Surprise was written all over the faces of all the Deputies and Senators. But it wasn't just those present; the entire popution of Krugar was speechless.

  "A shock, I know. Twenty years is the time I have calcuted for Krugar to gain influence and independence from my actions and those of my family. Krugar will be able to develop even without me at the helm. In 20 years, I will begin the process of stepping onto higher levels. I am currently the most powerful being in the world, but I am far from my full potential, and in 20 years, I will focus on my growth, but I will continue to protect Krugar. It was something we all created, and I still long to see what else Krugar will become."

  Skar smiles kindly. “That's all I have to say. I'll give everyone five minutes to take it in and prepare for the first agenda items to be discussed in this house.”
