Chapter 13: Pns of an alpha and adventurerPov change
<><><>
IT is an alpha. IT has always been. Well, not always. When IT was born, IT was considered the weakest of the pups. The others bullied IT every time. That's how life worked. The strong prey on the weak. But the being had an advantage over the others. IT was born with intelligence. IT understood that the barbaric ways of the pack would only sustain the pack for so much.
Eventually, one of those so-called adventurers would come, and the pack would be sughtered. Therefore, unlike the others in the pack, the being always hid when hunting, taking only the st hit.
The being had also noticed a peculiarity. The others that made it to six months of age experienced a sudden boost in physical attributes. How that was possible, IT didn't know. But IT would find out.
Then it was finally the being's turn. At that time, during a hunt, the being's body suddenly grew warm. First, IT suspected a disease. However, the warm feeling disappeared as quickly as it appeared. It was then that the being understood. This was what made the others so strong. However, IT understood more. This power could not just grant strength. This power could grant wishes.
And so IT trained while hiding the information from the pack. After all, the being knew that IT needed to grow first and take control. After several months, IT could finally control the power. The being learned that reinforcing the whole body at all times was very inefficient. Instead, IT learned how to decide which part to strengthen. Yet when the being looked at the others, they somehow did that without any guidance. How did they do that?! After some pondering, the answer became so clear that IT wanted to smack ITSELF. If the power fulfils wishes, then the wish, "I want to catch my prey," is obviously more efficient than the wish, "I want to have enhanced physical attributes."
With this new knowledge, the being grew strong. Strong enough to beat the leader. Strong enough to become the leader of the pack. And so IT did. IT led the pack, teaching them to become stronger. They became local dominators. Everyone had to look up to them. But then, one day1the fire nation attacked, the monster descended. A body full of grey scales, gigantic wings with a wingspan bigger than the highest tree the being knew and a tail that could easily wrap around thirty of IT.
But what made the being shiver was that breath of grey fire that reduced most of the forest to ash. They needed to run. They needed to hide. Thankfully, that thing was not interested in them. They ran away as fast and far as they could. Every pack did.
But eventually, there was another aura, almost as fierce as the one of the monster. They needed to stop. Now they could neither advance nor retreat. What made it worse was that now there were too many packs in one pce. At first, they hunted normally, but food soon became scarce. Then the packs turned on each other.
IT saw all of it and understood that they needed to do something. Otherwise, everyone would die. They needed to break out at one pce. The monster in the back was so scary that none of the others would ever go there again, unless they made absolutely sure that it was gone for good. So they needed to break through the front.
But first, IT would need to unite everyone. As it was doing so, another disturbance occurred. Something entered the forest and sughtered a lot of them. IT needed to investigate. Ever since they were thrown out of their home, the being had learned more about the mysterious power in ITS body. IT had learned how to camoufge and hide. This proved to be a lifesaver as the little girl with the same grey eyes as the scales of the monster who was sughtering the others of ITS kind could have surely sughtered IT as well.
Thankfully, the little girl only appeared for two days. Five days ter, the being had finally unified all of them. In two days, it was time to break through. In two days, it was time to achieve freedom, or die trying.

Pov Change
<><><>
I'm an adventurer in Bruk. I was born to retively wealthy parents who are also adventurers. Both are B-Rank. It goes without saying that I also wanted to become an adventurer. When I finally turned fifteen, and with much effort, I was able to convince my parents to let me go adventuring.
After many close calls that I frankly only survived because I had gotten training from my parents, I finally became a B-Rank as well. Then I noticed them. Little children in the guild. They were there because they completed quests. I couldn't hold myself. Did those children think this was a game? They could die! Therefore, I decided that I must save them.
I shoved them out of the guild, even if somewhat forcefully. I did so with every child I came across. At first, the other adventurers asked what I was doing. When I answered them how I was saving the children, they thought before agreeing. Soon, every person in the guild joined my cause. Well, all but two. The barkeeper, who never involved himself in adventuring topics anyway, and the guild receptionist, who vehemently opposed my aspirations, even tho I tried to expin why I was doing the right thing several times.
Unfortunately, many children couldn't see the error of their ways and continued to try even without being part of the guild and died. However, it was not my fault. After all, I clearly told them how dangerous this business was.
Then, one day, a change occurred. A small girl with beautiful white hair and ruby-like red eyes appeared in the guild. As always, I wanted to send her out of the guild, but she told me that I was helping nobody. That they needed the income to survive. That I was taking their right to struggle. It shocked me to the core. Was I wrong? Were we sending them to their deaths?
The next few days, I stayed at home. I needed time to sort out my thoughts. Then my parents came to visit. I expined my situation and asked for advice. "You were not wrong," they told me, "if they really need the income, then they could just work at other pces."
That made me understand again. Yes, I was never wrong. I was always helping those children. They just didn't appreciate it. They are just children. They underestimate just how dangerous the job is. When I told my findings to the other adventurers, they agreed. The only one who didn't support this, as always, was the receptionist.
I approached her and tried to talk sense into her again, but she remained stubborn, and then, when, in my excitement, I called her a stubborn mule, she snapped. She spped my cheek, before shouting: "Are you fucking stupid?! Nobody would take an undernourished little child, be it a bakery, embroidery, smithy, or any of the other shops in this town! Adventuring is literally the only way to get enough food for them!"
"And how would you know?" I retorted.
"I was in that exact same situation!" she screamed, "I was in that exact same situation, and nobody took me in. Because of people like you, Max had to die! Because of people like you, Evan was pricked by a poisonous flower and died!" Tears began streaming down her cheeks. "Because people like you prevented us from getting information. Because of people like you, we had to pay money every time we entered the gates! You are not helping, you are obstructing!"
"B- But I just wanted to help!"
"No, you didn't. You were just envious. Envious that those children could go adventuring before you." This time, she looked at all of us.
Hearing her, my head turned dizzy, and I could barely hold myself up. Slowly, I wobbled out of the guild and into my house. Then, I fell onto the bed before releasing a scream.
