I am Vill Ager. I'm six years old and already suuuper big. My hobby is pying with balls and helping my dad with his farmwork. Six people in the vilge are my age, and everyone but one of them is my friend.

As for who the st person is? I always get shivers whenever I look at her. No way I'm going to become her friend!

Initially, it was a simple act of defiance. The girl treated me, who is already suuuper big, like a child! But then, a year ter, it happened. She was walking in the usual direction in the morning, and we suddenly grew curious. What was she always doing there?

So we followed her in a suuuper sneaky way. Of course, she didn't notice us. She went to a big field slightly outside the vilge. We were so curious that we broke the adults' rules and stepped outside the allowed area.

As we were looking at her, she suddenly drew something in the air that looked like a fme and an arrow. Then something unbelievable happened. From the sky, it rained fiery arrows! I can already count to ninety-nine. However, I still couldn't count them all.

The arrows hit everywhere on the field. Fortunately, we were standing far enough away. Had we stood ten body lengths further, we would have been shot. But what scared us the most was her ughter after that. She ughed like some lunatic! It looked crazy. Amidst those fmes, she stood, her white hair taking on a silvery hue through them, and her red eyes seeming to encompass all the madness in the world.

We couldn't take it anymore and ran away in fear, not hearing her mutter: "Finally, after a week of trial and error, I've completed the spell!"

After we ran to our hideout, we discussed and came to an undeniable conclusion. The girl must be a demon king. We had heard legends of the current demon king, and our parents told us that all Demon Kings were female.

The next morning, we ran to the field again, an hour earlier than her usual time. To our surprise, it looked like nothing had happened. The grass was still just as big as before. Before we could catch ourselves in our surprise, we heard footsteps.

Then, the Demon King appeared. When she saw us, she smiled with a smile that made her look like a demon to us and spoke:

"Hey. You shouldn't be here. Go back home before your parents find out. Otherwise, you will have to deal with the consequences."

We instinctively knew. The demon king was warning us never to tell our parents.

Soon, I reach the practice field. Today I will try something new. Through my relentless practice, I have finally mastered Magic Power Control sufficiently. Now I can finally try to do real signless magic.

Once again, I imagine a ball of water appearing in front of me. Then I connect that imagination with my Magic Power after moving the Magic Power to the correct spot. Instantly, a ball of water appears with a diameter of half a meter. In fact, it seems even faster than my Sign-Magic a year ago. Within half a second, it is already there.

I am happy with the result and decide to try something else. Signless Body Strenghtening Magic. This time, I don't imagine myself as a macho woman. Instead, I send my Magic Power through my whole body and imagine myself punching through a tree with pure brute force. It works perfectly. I don't suddenly grow muscles, but I am still vastly stronger than in my unbuffed state.

It is something I learned over the past year. Instead of imagining myself alone, it is always more effective to imagine myself when compared to something else. It gives the imagination more substance, and more importantly, a scale.

The advantage of imagining myself punching through a tree lies not only in the fact that it is a real physical measure of what I want to achieve, but also in the fact that it will enhance my durability enough to withstand the rebound. This means that, in a fight, to maintain the highest efficiency, I should imagine both my action and the consequence of the action every time I move.

With this success, I will practice Signless Magic during my morning practices.

Time passes. Now it's afternoon. However, before we start training, I have something to say to Dad.

"Dad, I want to become an adventurer!"

  "Oh, I'm sure you can."

  "I mean now."

  "No, you're still too young."

"But you know that I'm always more mature compared to the other children."

  "But you're still too weak."

"Then, when I defeat you, can I go then?"

  "Fine."

Now that I learned Signless Magic, I could probably defeat Dad with pure Magic already, but truth be told, I don't want to leave so soon. My swordsmanship, although it has improved remarkably already, is still nowhere near Dad‘s. Furthermore, I want to spend more time with my family.

And so, time passed again. In fact, two years did. I am now eight years old. Yay! Seven more years and I can finally enrol in Ifrit Academy! However, today there is another thing to look forward to. Today, I will finally defeat Dad and become an adventurer.

I still remember back then, two years ago, when I excitedly told the news of the condition to Mom, who then gave Dad a gre that could kill before taking out ten books, each with at least 500 pages, and insisting that I memorise all of them before being allowed to go out.

Thank god I could create a memory enhancement spell! Otherwise, I could have never left the house. And I have reason to believe that was her goal behind that condition.

Anyway, today I have finally memorised the st word. And I feel that, in swordsmanship, I have surpassed Dad.

After my routine training, we start eating. It is right after my eighth birthday. I didn't want to ruin the good birthday mood, so I will only bring it up now. Turning to my Dad, I say:

  "Let's duel."

Dad seems unsurprised by my request. After all, as my teacher, he is aware of my progress.

  "Ok," he replies calmly.

Dad may know that I have surpassed him in swordsmanship, but he likely also believes that there is absolutely no way I have memorised all the herbs. Well, wrong!

We move about ten meters apart. Then Dad counts down from three.

  "3, 2, 1, go!"

  And so our duel begins.
