Nae grumbled. “Do I really have to put on clothes? I have seen how people wear them, and it looks so constricting.”
“Are you already being not compliant? Look, you have to wear clothes. People frown upon others that don’t wear clothes, and…”
“And?”
Enore’s face reddened. “It’s hard for me to look at you without wanting to look away. We should at least find something to cover you for the time being.”
The wyvern channeled her mana, and within seconds, her body became mostly fully covered in scales. “Is this better? I imagined that you would be the type to not care about such things.”
“Hey, you clearly never had a dream about being naked at school. This is no trivial matter, and I suffer secondhand embarrassment from imagining you naked at school. This is more or less the reason I skipped out on college. I figured that those types of dreams would go away.”
“Did it work?”
Enore frowned and shook her head. “No.”
The vampire didn’t allow further argumentation. Instead, she wanted to view the status of the wyvern to see if anything had changed.
Of course...Everything increased. Moreover, it looks like she got a new title, [Servant of the Delusional Vampire Witch]. Is there really even a need to keep pointing that out!? How am I delusional? I was the only one that was correct. Indeed, they say that people who are the most correct look the most crazy.
The wyvern girl tilted her head. “What are you doing, mistress? That tickled a little bit.”
“You can feel when I investigate your status?”
The wyvern nodded.
Enore stared at her, another chain of thought creeping up. “How do you even understand the mannerisms of humans so well? I can understand you being granted with speech, but you also act as if you’ve had experience with people.”
“I did have some experience with a wizard before. He taught me a lot, so I was hoping that my interaction with these people would be like that.”
The vampire witch nodded and looked up to the darkening sky. Even though the scenery was getting much darker, her vision somehow did not get worse at all. She looked through her skills list and immediately found the culprit.
Okay, this expins a lot of things.
Enore looked back at the wyvern. “We should get somewhere soon. Didn’t you have some pce to stay before? If you had a cave we can go there for the night.”
“That’s right! I did have a cave. I thought you would have a pce for us to go though.”
Enore ughed and gripped at the brim of her hat. “Nope, quickly vanquish that thought, for I am as homeless as they come.”
Nae’s eyes widened, and for a second she appeared as if she was looking at the most pitiful creature in existence. She fixed her expression after a few seconds, a smile painted on her face. “When you put it like that, mistress really does seem like a vampiric vagrant.”
“A vagrant...Yes, you could call me that. I am a traverser of worlds, and I have come about to bring great change upon the nd. This starts with you showing me the way to your cave. Since you forced your way into my party, you are now an unwilling part of this grandiose future.”
The wyvern chuckled before starting a transformation yet again, only this time her wyvern form became completely different. Instead of the brown scales from before, her body was covered in a yer of a mixture of white scales with pink designs on them.
Nae looked down at her own form in surprise. “I never imagined that the change would be so profound. It seems that despite all the mistress’s shortcomings, the power is very real.”
“Hey! Nobody is shortcoming! I will have you know that I was only a little shorter than average height.” Enore took the opportunity to leap into the air and nd on the wyvern’s back. “At the very least, now it will be easier to fly. I won’t even have to cast a spell.”
“I see...Not only are you short, but you are also zy. What kind of contract did I even sign?”
Enore rolled her eyes. “You are the one that begged me for a contract. This is like going up to a conman and saying, ‘please scam me.’ Do you not even realize the position you are in? Where is the pride of a dragon type creature?”
The wyvern started fpping her wings and took to the air. “I will have you know that calling me a dragon creature would be an affront to dragons. They’re not even reted to me.”
“And yet you have big wings and breathe fire? I am not believing that for a second.”
The two of them began flying over the terrain. It seemed that the wyvern’s ir was west of where Enore had originally started. The vampire felt like she was a first css passenger of an airpne that had the windows rolled down. She id on the wyvern’s back, until they arrived at the cavern.
It was much rger than the cave El started in. She imagined that it would be big enough to house at least forty thousand energy drink cans or possibly less. She wasn’t a mathematician. Though, what was more impressive was not the size, it was the fact that Nae had a bunch of different items here.
There were pelts strewn about on the floor, and there were skeletons of a few dead monsters. In a pile, there were tons of mana crystals shining in different colors. It was like a little dragon’s hoard.
“Are you sure you’re not reted to dragons?”
Nae chuckled and transformed.
The devious trick did not have the effect the dragon hoped. El’s senses were much too fast, and she caught herself, sticking the nding with a flip.
“Nice try, but I made sure my character was too overpowered to get tricked by something like this. Next time you want to embarrass me, find some other way.”
The wyvern removed the scales from her body, exposing her bare flesh again. “What about this way?”
Enore grumbled and pointed her staff at Nae. “If you don’t cover up, you will face the consequences of thousands of hours of gaming. You will find yourself ending up back at your spawn point.”
It was clear that the wyvern hadn’t any idea what Enore was talking about, but she got the gist of the vampire’s lingo. She covered herself up faster than the vampire could chug an energy drink.
“Thank you,” Enore said with a sigh. She looked around, her eyes starting to sparkle from all of the mana orbs. “There are so many orbs here, I could make a kabob...A kaborb. I wonder if a kaborb would be good. So far the only fvors I tasted were from sweet mana orbs.”
“You really eat those things? I had heard of humans using them for stuff, but I never imagined that vampires would eat them. I just thought you feasted on blood.”
“Well, I am a different vampire.” Enore looked at her staff that glowed in confirmation. “Isn’t that right, Manapie?”
