A hard rain downpour hit the roof of a modern two story farmhouse as an arm clock started to beep loudly to wake a Hispanic woman asleep in her king size bed. The dy reached out to turn off her arm then sat up to rub her purple eyes and move her bangs out of her face.
The woman was Amy Sauveterre and she had long messy dark purple hair, which looked bck at a simple gnce, rich caramel skin tone and painted bck nails. She slipped out of her bed and stood up, showing she was just over six feet tall, to stretch. She grabbed her housecoat to put on and only paused to touch her neckce around her neck. The neckce was a simple silver long rectangle bar with a vial in the centre of it and in the vial was a green blood.
“I miss you, love,” She whispered before raising the tag to her lips and kissing it. She fixed up her housecoat before leaving her bedroom and headed towards the main bathroom. She stopped in the hallway to see a door open to her daughter’s bedroom, “Even in this weather she’s awake before me.”
Amy entered the main bathroom to have a shower and got a gnce in the mirror of her human form. Her thoughts trailed off about her reflection, and even though this has been her form for sixteen years it felt slightly jarring to her still.
Amy wasn’t human and was an alien being called an Aensi. The Aensi race were humanoid insect beings and she was said to look like a mix between earth’s mantis and spider, which Amy agreed with once she saw the two insects.
The Aensi race were beled as ambush predators due to their ability to shapeshift into very beautiful females of other races. This ability only worked if the race had female gender and she had a sample of DNA of the race she wished to shift into.
This didn’t mean she was weak and she remembered that her real form was clocked to run at speeds of fifty to sixty kilometres per hour. She was able to rip into a M1 Abrams Tank and toss it to the side like it was made out of cardboard.
The thin waist or wide hips wasn’t different from her true form but having only two arms, two eyes, lips, and rge breasts. Her true form didn’t have these lump of flesh on her chest but they did make a lot of people flustered and unbanced around her, giving her edge if she needed to deal with them.
She let out a sigh before spping her cheeks gently, “Come on and get ready, Am'ae.” She hyped herself up before getting the shower started.
Amy walked out of her bedroom after getting dressed and styled her messy long hair into a tight and neat bun that tied at the base of her head. The clothing she picked today was a simple bck turtleneck, and a pair of dark blue tight jeans.
As she walked down the stairs to the main floor she fiddled with the purple hair tie holding her hair up and heard the kitchen back door open and close. “Eris, sweetie?” Amy called out as she walked to the kitchen.
Once in the kitchen she could see the silhouette of her daughter running towards the prairie barn with a gambrel roof in the backyard. She raised a brow before her focus went to the kettle that was whistling and she spotted thermos with a tea box beside it.
“She knows me well.” Amy took the kettle off the oven top and poured the hot water in the thermos. She looked at the box Eris had picked out and smiled softly seeing it was chamomile tea bags. She dipped the tea bag in thermos to let it steep in the hot water.
The backdoor to the kitchen opened and Amy looked over her shoulder to see Eris entering the kitchen. “Morning, Mom.” Eris said as slipped off her boots.
There wasn’t any question about Eris being Amy’s daughter, they shared simir face structure and deep purple eyes. Though Amy was happy that Eris gained her father’s maroon red hair, muscle build and freckles going across her nose bridge. Her skin tone was sun kissed from her often working on her car projects outside and from wielding in the barn.
Eris was not human either but she was not an Aensi either and this was due to the oddity of Aensi breeding biology. Aensi had something called a ‘perfect mate’ and this mate hit some random special markers in an Aensi, which allowed the Aensi to birth a child that matched the father’s race.
If male doesn’t hit all these markers the Aensi would y a clutch of eggs and the eggs would only hatch other Aensi. The mother Aensi would not take care of these eggs and the hatchlings would kill each other until only one was left. A perfect mate offspring triggers mother instincts in Aensi and Amy has killed to keep her child safe.
“Morning, Sweetie,” Amy said with a soft smile and turned around. “So why did you run out to the barn in this weather?”
“I set up a diagnosis on my car st night and it was finished this morning.” Eris expined as hung up her bck leather coat that had an accent of blue leather on it.
Eris was wearing under her leather coat a grey baggy long sleeve shirt with sleeves rolled up, a neckce with dogtags, bck leather fingerless gloves and a pair of dark blue baggy carpenter jeans that sometimes had oil stains on them but not today.
“Was there something wrong with it?” Amy asked as she set a timer for her tea. Eris sat on a counter height chair and Amy moved behind Eris to gently run her fingers through Eris’ messy hair.
“I thought I heard something wrong but the computer found nothing wrong.” Eris sighed as closed her eyes and rexed as her mother started to work on her hair.
Amy enjoyed styling her daughter’s hair and probably why Eris always left it undone in the morning. It was a perfect bonding moment for them in the morning since neither of them needed to eat food in the morning.
“Maybe you should check with your eyes?” Amy suggested as she finished slicking back the top of Eris’ hair. Eris had kept her top medium length. While her finger started to work on braiding as Eris kept a portion of the back of her hair long enough to be braided.
“I may have to ter,” Eris rubbed the side of her neck and tried not to move her head too much as her mother worked on braiding. “But not today.”
“Alright,” Amy softly spoke as she finished the tight half-up Dutch crown braid she was giving Eris. Once done with braid Amy touched the nape that was shaven down and felt the shaven down hair. “Does this need a touch up?”
“No, give another week or two maybe.” Eris shivered as she felt her mother’s painted bck nails run down the nape of her neck. Amy was about to say something though before she could the arm went off and she went to pull the tea bag out of the thermos.
Amy put the lid on the thermos before gncing at the clock on the oven, “You should head out now.” Amy noted as she tightened the thermos lid to make sure it didn’t come off.
“You're right, I’ll get the car.” Eris got up to put her jacket and boots back on and left out the back door, locking the door behind her. Amy headed to the mudroom at the front of the house and she sat down on a bench to put on her four inch heels.
Once she got her heels on she got up and grabbed a brown trench coat to put on. Amy stepped out onto the front roofed porch and locked the house up before waiting for Eris to drive up.
Amy started to stare out to the surrounding of their home, a small forest surrounding their home and the dirt driveway that led to the main paved road. Amy’s eyes flicked to some movement in the forest edge and she spotted a white-tail doe and a few of its fawns walking through the forest.
The doe dashed away with her fawns following her as Eris drove up to the front of the house. There was a gravel path way from the barn to the front of the house and Amy made her way to the passenger seat of Eris’ car.
Eris’ car was a dark red four door 1967 Chevrolet Impa with bck race stripes. On the outside it looked like an Impa from the era but the dashboard looked like a modern car, even more features that modern cars didn’t have too. The engine didn’t make any sound either as it was personally made by Eris and Amy only remembered Eris calling it a ‘perpetual’ engine.
“Drop me off at the F.C.P. main office,” Amy buckled up and pced her thermos in the cupholder between them. “I’m going to have a small visit with your aunt today.”
“Sure thing, Mom.” Eris said as started to drive down the driveway to head to the main road. Once on the road Eris clicked something on her steering wheel and caused M?tley Crüe’s ‘Kickstart My Heart’ to start pying over the car’s speakers.
Eris parked in front of the F.C.P. headquarters on the outskirts of Pyxis City and it looked like any other pin boring business building. It had many windows and a stone sign on the grass with the words ‘Financial Counting Project’ carved on it but both women knew what its real name was.
F.C.P. really stood for ‘First Contact Police’ and they dealt with space traveling aliens like them. Their main job was keeping the public from knowing the truth about aliens and the secondary job was simir to that of airport security but for space travel.
“Thank you, Sweetie.” Amy said as unbuckle her seatbelt and grabbed her thermos. She leaned over and kissed the top of Eris’ head “Try to have a good day at school.”
“See ya ter, Mom,” Eris said before Amy got out of the car. Amy rushed into the building and Eris drove off as soon as her mother got into the building.
The front lobby of the building was almost empty white void and the only things in this void was a rge curved receptionist desk counter, four receptionists behind the counter and a huge sign with F.C.P. behind them.
Amy walked up to one of the receptionists, “May I help you, Miss?” The receptionist asked and Amy put her thermos on the counter and next her right hand.
“Amy Sauveterre, here to visit Ava Jay,” Amy expined and the receptionist paused before clicking something on their computer. Amy could see her hand and thermos being scanned and when finished the receptionist smiled.
“Agent D will meet you on the main floor, and will escort you to Miss. Jay.” The receptionist expined by pressing a button making a hidden elevator door open up. “Hope you have a nice visit.”
“Thank you,” Amy said and picked up her thermos before heading to the elevator. Once Amy was in the center of the elevator the door closed and started to move downwards.
Amy opened up a tab on the top of her thermos and took a drink from it. ‘Financial Counting Project, is that really the best name they could come up with…’ Amy’s mind thought as the elevator ride was always long.
“Then again, they can’t use their real name yet, First Contact Police.” Amy whispered to herself and closed the tab on her thermos as the elevator door.
Once the doors opened up to reveal a rge room that looked like an airport but all people in line or seats were aliens. While the staff behind the counters were mostly humans in bck suits with red ties, Amy could pick out a few of them wearing shift stones to look human.
Shifting stones were special gems that allowed other aliens to shape shift and blend into the public popution if they didn’t know about space aliens. Amy was always happy that she didn’t need one and even happier that her daughter had gained her shapeshifting ability.
Amy stepped off the elevator. “Miss. Sauveterre?” A young man's voice asked from the left of her and Amy looked to see a man at least in his early twenties with short brown hair.
Amy paused before making a devilish smirk, “I don’t know, is there anyone else coming off the elevator?” Amy asked and gently ran her nail tips on the underside of Agent D’s chin.
Agent D became flushed and flustered, “N-No madame,” He stammered and Amy chuckled as gently moved her finger to the tip of his chin. “I-I-I-”
“What’s the matter, Agent D?” Amy flirted and her finger started to trail to his lips, “Aensi got your tongue?”
Amy was about to slip a finger into his mouth but he snapped out of it and took a step back from Amy’s finger. “Miss. Sauveterre, please follow me to the prisoner meeting room.” Agent D regained his composure and adjusted his tie.
Amy let out a small ugh from him regaining his composure, “Lead the way, Agent D.” Amy said before opening the tab on her thermos once more to get a drink.
Agent D had led Amy through several security points and finally made it to the prisoner meeting room. It was a very simple white void room with only a bolted down table and two chairs in the middle of the room. There were two guards on the opposite end of the room in front of a different door than one they entered from and Agent D was standing behind Amy by the door that they had entered from.
Amy had sat down in one of the chairs that kept Agent D to her back and she kept her eyes on the other door. The door opened up and Amy saw her sister, Ava Jay, in cuffs and two Agents in full tactical gear behind her.
Ava had the same facial bone structure as her older sister but her skin was dark brown with darker freckles on the bridge of her nose and shoulders. Her eyes were bright green and her dark green hair was tied in a loose ponytail and wrapped around her left arm was an evergreen colored vines tattoo. Ava had a thin waist like Amy and Ava had smaller hips and rger chest than her older sister.
Ava was wearing a bck leather colr and it was a special tracking colr if Ava ever tried to escape but she never showed any signs of trying. She had a dark blue prisoner jumpsuit, with the top half tied around her waist, and off white crop top, but the straps were string thin.
The officers that were escorting Ava closed the door and officers inside the room moved to unlock the cuffs on Ava, and afterwards Ava happily walked over to the table. “Hello, big sis.” Ava said as she sat down across from Amy. “Still a little weird to say that.”
“Well our race is known to eat our clutch sisters after hatching.” Amy chuckled and sipped her tea. “Good thing we aren’t from the same clutch.”
“That is true or my head wouldn’t be on my neck anymore.” Ava chuckled weakly as rubbed the colr around her neck. “So what brings you here today? Is Eris alright?”
“Eris is completely fine,” Amy paused to look to the side before returning her gaze on Ava. “I don’t know why I wanted to visit you…maybe I just wanted to talk to someone who is the same race as me.”
“The best person to talk to is someone like you, eh?” Ava chuckled then went quiet as her eyes trailed down to Amy’s neckce. “Though we are not completely the same, you found your soulmate.”
Amy gently touched her neckce, “That is true we are different but you understand and even imagine what I feel.” Amy said and Ava slowly and gently took Amy’s other hand.
“I know.” Ava whispered and gave Amy a soft smile. “Come on, tell me more about what Eris has been up to.”
Amy paused before sighing and smiling, “Well I did catch Eris making out with Kat in the barn’s loft, when they were meant to be studying.” Amy made a devilish grin as she spoke and Ava started to giggle.
Eris let out a loud sneeze into her arm and it rang out in the empty metal shop cssroom. “Gesundheit,” Rory said without looking up from their cell phone. “Hope you aren’t getting sick.”
Rory was a small male at height of four feet and four inches and warm peach skin tone. He had short bubblegum pink hair, bright pink eyes, and a bit of pink eye shadow and pink lipstick that highlighted them. While he was male, he was often mistaken for female due to his race having water sacks on their chest and they are shaped like breasts.
Rory’s race was called Molzaico and they were often described as desert humanoid frog people. It was hard to pick out males from females if you didn’t know what to look for like females were bigger antenna length. His race didn’t have shapeshifting ability and had to wear shifting stones if they lived on earth.
Rory doesn’t help with his choices of clothing and speaking with a more feminine voice. He was wearing a light pink shirt, dark pink pleated skirt, pink leather belt, silver chain loop hanging off that belt, brown leather high heel boots, and a dark fuchsia coat with white lined colr. Around his neck were two silver chain neckces, one with a red shifting stone on it, and bck leather colr.
Rory was sitting in a car seat that was resting on the floor and a few feet away from the car frame that Eris was working on for a css project. Eris had looked over shoulder and her eyes couldn’t help but nd on the rge scar on his left calf. “If I get sick, then all of you are dead.” Eris said as she put down the wrench in her hand.
Eris was a hardy alien race that rarely got sick and was called Talmapeo. The hardness didn’t help against unethical bounty hunters but Eris wasn’t a ‘pure blood’ Talmapeo and second generation Talmapeo. Talmapeo had odd biology when it came to offsprings and if Talmapeo bred with any other race the child would still be genetically a Talmapeo but they would gain abilities from other parents.
This is why Eris had her mother’s shapeshifting ability and from her Gigatreed grandma’s strength build. Eris was already bigger than the average pureblood adult Talmapeo at a height of five feet and ten inches.
“That is very true,” Rory said without looking up from their phone. “Unless it was sickness that only targets…not even then it would kill us as well with how strong the illness is.”
“What got you glued to your phone this time?” Eris went to grab a different wrench. “Are you stirring something up?” Eris returned to looking at the junkyard buggy.
“Duke and Cassie broke up because she was being a bit selfish and cheated on him.” Rory stated and looked up from his phone. “And excuse me, I may be a sassy bitch but I’m no homewrecker.”
“Alright, sassy bitch, why aren’t you watching the football practice?” Eris asked as she tried her best not to break the school shop’s wrench. The wrenches at the school were worn out and a lot weaker than her home tools, which were built to handle her superhuman strength. “I thought the vice-couch had to be at practice with the time.”
“Rainfall tends to cancel football practice,” Rory returned to focusing on his phone and sinking in the car seat a bit. “So are you pnning to ubercharge this car like you did with your Impa?”
“Nah, gotta keep it dumb down for teach and others.” Eris chuckled. “This is going to be a junkyard off-road buggy that an average person could make…The ubercharge off-road truck is back in my barn.”
“Of course you built an ubercharge off-road truck in your free time.” Rory scoffed and gnced over to Eris. “I thought that Impa was your masterpiece that you would never stop working on.”
“Sometimes you need to work on different projects and not feel burned out on a main project.” Eris said as stopped working on the engine. “That’s that for now.”
“I’m surprised you aren’t done building this time by now…” Rory trailed off and Eris started to clean her hands with a rag. “You're stretching this out so you have something to do in your spare period.”
Eris gave Rory a small smirk and Rory narrowed his eyes, “I don’t know what you're talking about, Casanova.” Eris shrugged and Rory rolled his eyes. “Anyways we should get going.”
Rory looked at his phone and noticed the time, “Time already for Physics 101.” Rory sighed and stood up. He noticed as Eris had a bit of a skip to her walk to the front door. “Or Flirting 101 for Kat and you.”
“I can teach better than the teachers when it comes to physics.” Eris stated as pulled her fingerless gloves out from her leather coat hanging up by the shop door. “Kat and you know that.”
“That is true and Mrs. Fletch really doesn’t focus on us at all.” Rory leaned on the wall and waited for Eris to put on her coat. “Then again you did embarrass her the first day of starting high school.”
“Well if she didn’t properly teach the css I wouldn’t have spoken up.” Eris said as she put on her leather coat and opened the heavy steel door open for Rory. “And don’t deny you were about to do the same thing too.”
“Well you are right but I would have done it a bit more tactfully.” Rory chuckled before walking out. “You were like a wrecking ball when a simple push would have done the job.”
Eris followed behind Rory and closed the door behind her. “Well she went over blown when she took it to the principal and called in my mom.” Eris chuckled as memories of her mother ripping into Mrs. Fletch. “Though that was fun to see in the end.”
Rory shivered and slightly went pale, “I never would want to be on the receiving end of a tongue shing from your mother.” Rory said and shifted the lettermen jacket over his shoulder. “Or have her cws at my throat.”
Eris let out a loud ugh that echoed in the hallway and Rory covered one ear as Eris ughed. Eris stifled her ugh when people started to look over to her and she had a slight blush on her face now. “Come on, let’s not keep Kat waiting.” Eris coughed and Rory snickered seeing her embarrassed.
