47. Learned Destiny!

“I will go save him,” Andrew told Ken.

“I will help you do that,” Ken replied.

“Don’t overwork yourself, take rest for some days,” Andrew advised.

“Come to the training after you feel fine,” he added.

“He seems not normal,” Ken had a thought.

“Ok, I will come soon,” he replied.

Then, their conversation continued for another 5 minutes.

  The next day,

  31st December, Sunday,

Ken woke up early and went for a walk. He had a peaceful state of mind at that time. He didn’t think about anything, just walked past the trees and got to breathe fresh air after a long time.

He was walking in a random direction, recalling the memories that he had made.

“What a year it was?” he wondered, smiling.

“I get to make a lot of friends, got a new power, get to train with Roger,” Ken recalled the events that had happened.

“I am lucky to have all these things happen to me,” he felt lucky for the first time in his life.

“Did I deserve all these?” he thought, looking at the sky.

After some time, he decided to return home, so he began walking home. At that time, he was thinking about the times when he used his power.

“When did I first make a sacrifice? Why did my head hurt a lot nowadays?” he hoped for answers, not realising that time is the answer that he is searching for.

He then doubted the power in his mind.

“How did I get to read the person’s mind if the future event didn’t even exist yet?” he had a complicated question.

“Am I doing some future foresight? But how can I read people’s minds in the future, where it doesn’t even happen yet?” he was confused.

“Wait, am I confusing myself, but it doesn’t make sense.” his confusion level keeps going up.

“Maybe it is clairvoyance + predicting + instinctive reading = my power of reading a person’s mind in the future timeline,” he seems to have found an answer.

“Is that even possible? Even in manga, it doesn’t happen. Maybe I am the MC in this world with this power,” he made a bold statement, which might be true.

He reached home while thinking about these questions.

At home, he thought about Medrick’s situation.

“What? Why? How?” he has all sorts of questions. He called Andrew and told him that he would come to his house.

He ate his breakfast and went to Andrew’s house.

“Are you fine, Ken?” Andrew asked.

“Yeah, we have a lot of work to do,” Ken replied.

“Work? What are you talking about?” Andrew asked, confused.

“We are going to do an investigation regarding Medrick,” Ken clarified.

Then, they began the investigation session.

  On the other hand,

  Somewhere in Brumalden,

A certain man called the scarred guy.

“Supreme, we are waiting for your order. Shall we proceed?” the scarred guy asked him.

“No, wait until he makes a move, are you monitoring him?” the one in Brumalden asked.

“Yeah, surprisingly, he hasn’t made a move yet, but our men have been there for over a month now. Is it okay to let things be like that?” the scarred man asked.

“You know about that king, right? What will he do if someone raids the prison?” the brown-haired guy asked.

“We are making a trap for him, right?” he asked.

“No…idiot, we are going to force him to make that decision,” the brown-haired man said.

“What decision, supreme,” the scarred man asked.

“He should—” the brown-haired shares his plan.

“Whoa! How is he thinking like that? I would never come up with such a plan ever,” the scarred man thought.

“It seems like a stretch, but if it happens, then—” the scarred man replied.

“Fate will make it happen, otherwise I will make it happen,” the brown-haired said.

  Meanwhile,

  Investigation session at Andrew’s house,

Andrew and Ken drew down all possibilities that they could see that led to Medrick trying to kill people.

They concluded that someone had made him do that.

“Who made him do that? Then how did he get caught?” Ken asked, thinking about the possible answers.

“Maybe the one that had manipulated him earlier, in the Harkey incident,” Andrew gave his opinion.

“Yeah, that would make sense, but knowing that he is the one manipulated, why would he get manipulated again by that same person?” Ken asked a question.

“That’s a question, I… I don’t have an answer for that, then he wasn’t manipulated,” Andrew said, unclear.

“What if someone had manipulated him? He won’t do stuff like this on his own,” Ken asked.

They both sounded as if they were detectives discussing about the mystery.

Both remained silent for a few minutes.

“I found it, I found the solution to this puzzle,” Ken said, relieved.

“What? Who?” Andrew asked, excited to know his answer.

“It was the Theron group, but a different person from it,” Ken replied.

“How? And why are you saying that?” Andrew asked.

“I think it’s a trap for us, think about it, you said that Rheos and men are sent to prison, right? And Medrick got sent to that prison on the same week, don’t you think it is a plan?” Ken began explaining his theory.

“I think they knew somehow that their men were sent to prison and knew we were going to raid the prison if Medrick was there, and at that time, they would raid there and create chaos and escape by using us as a decoy,” Ken said it as if he was the man who made that plan.

Andrew was shocked, hearing it and was amazed by Ken’s mind.

“It’s not even a theory, I think you just found their plan,” Andrew said, happy.

“Wait… then Clutch Crafter is one of them? Or is he someone else?” Ken asked.

“He might be one of them, but why did he help people out?” Andrew said, had the same opinion.

“Leave that aside, don’t you think he knew that I found his plan?” Ken asked Andrew.

“He is confusing me again. He found that plan, and now he is complicating it again,” Andrew thought, confused.

“How did he know that you knew their plan? So, he has a plan for it? It feels like a loop,” Andrew replied.

“I don’t know, maybe I am complicating things,” Ken replied.

“You don’t know? Then why did you ask that question, you idiot?” Andrew said, angry.

Their detective session went on for another 30 minutes before Ken eventually left the house.

  In the evening,

“Who will text me first? She or my friends?” Ken was thinking again, but this time he had an important doubt.

“Should I text her first? Or the other way around?” he was in a thinking session.

“What will happen after the next two months? Will I speak to her as I do now?” he thought as his graduation was coming soon.

Then, after spending over 20 minutes of important thinking, he took a snack break.

  The next day,

  1st January, Monday,

Ken woke up early and was disappointed in himself.

“Ahh! I had thought I could wish her at 12:00 am,” he was frustrated.

“The universe is mocking me again; it will realise my worth soon,” Ken complained.

He then took his phone and checked the text. To his surprise, his friends and most importantly, Lucera wished him.

“She wished me at 12:00 am, even all my friends wished me, so I am the only one who slept early,” Ken was both happy and sad at the same time.

“This is the first time that I ever received a text on New Year's Day,” he muttered, happy.
