Ken was all over the place when screaming in pain. Andrew doesn’t know what to do.

  “You are still a beginner, Ken,” said Roger.

  “I can be a beginner, but now just help me,” Ken shouted as he couldn’t resist his pain.

  “Ok, let’s treat him first,” he then asked his wife to treat Ken.

  “Ohh, it looks so bad,” she felt all the pain from his hand.

  “It also hurts badly. Treat me quickly,” he politely asked her.

  Then Roger’s wife treated him as Ken’s screaming slowed.

  “I am going home, inform the college for me,” Ken told Andrew when he was about to leave.

  “I guess Ken got himself a great friend, it seems,” Roger.

  “He certainly reminded me of him, it’s been years since—” Roger thought while seeing the sky.

  “I think I am useless for fighting, it seems,” he thought.

  “Ahh, it hurts still. I should go home and rest,” he started to increase his pace.

  “Training?” his parents went ultra-shock mode.

  “Roger is my coach, today is my first session, I punched a tree along with the rock,” he revealed.

  “How did you hurt yourself with Roger as a coach? Go and take a rest,” his father said.

  Ken then went to his room, thinking about his father’s words. His mother came to his room and sat with him until he fell asleep.

  It was 5:00 pm when Andrew texted Ken, “How’s your hand?”.

  “It’s fine, but it hurts still,” he replied at 5:23 pm.

  “I guess he is ok, maybe he should take a rest till next week,” Andrew thought after reading the reply.

  In the night, “AAAAAAHHH, it’s frustrating,” Ken muttered.

  “I should distract myself from suffering this pain,” he thought in his mind.

  “Let’s think about the trip we are about to go on,” he decided on the topic.

  “This is the first trip where we're going to have more than 5 people,” he said. He was about to go on a preview of the trip.

  “2 cars should be fine, right?” he asked himself.

  “I forgot to invite Harkey now that he is my friend,” he thought.

  “Where will we go? Is it yet another mysterious one?” he wondered.

  After 25 minutes of such thinking, he slept.

  The day arrived, and Ken was seen looking weird once again because his right hand was injured. Everyone was glaring at him as if he were inviting injuries to himself.

  But Ken took no care this time as he was prepared for this.

  Once the break arrived, Ken invited Harkey to the trip while having snacks.

  “Sure, why not?” Harkey accepted immediately.

  “Shall I invite Vittario too?” he asked Ken.

  “He has no friends except me; he would be happy if we were to invite him,” he added.

  “Is it ok, Andrew?” Ken asked Andrew.

  “Sure, it’s better if we have more people,” Andrew told them.

  “We would need 2 cars minimum,” Ken told.

  “I invited Lucera too,” he added.

  “Heh, you miss her, right? You need to spend your time with her, right?” Andrew asked him the crucial question, smiling.

  Harkey wondered if he deserved to be in this type of conversation. Ken doesn’t know what to say, especially with Harkey present.

  “I thought it would be better with her coming,” he answered.

  They eventually returned to class as the break ended.

  “Why did you ask such a question while Harkey was around?” Ken was angry at Andrew on their walk home.

  “I asked for fun, he won’t think anything,” Andrew told him with a hand on his shoulders.

  “He won’t, but I felt embarrassed, don’t do that again,” Ken told him as his anger level came down.

  “I will try,” Andrew said with a smile.

  “Where do you think we are going to go?” Ken asked.

  “I don’t know, but what I know for sure is it's going to be an interesting one to say the least,” he added.

  The next 2 days went by in a flash as Ken’s routine of going to college, speaking with Andrew and Harkey, thinking about the trip in the classes, and doing the same at home continued.

  The day Ken waited for all this time arrived. He didn’t sleep well the previous night as he was excited for the next day.

  He asked all his friends to come to the regular park at 7:00 am.

  Ken woke up at 5:43 am, even though it was just a small duration of rest he could get.

  He started walking at 6:15 am in a random direction, aimlessly, then walked to the park at 6:30 am.

  When he reached the park at 6:58 am, only he, Andrew, and Galen came on time.

  Then they waited for Harkey and Lucera to arrive. Harkey arrived at 7:07 am.

  All 4 had a conversation among themselves to avoid the boredom in waiting. “Ask her to come quicker,” Galen told Ken.

  “I will—” Ken took out his phone.

  But just when he was about to send the text, Lucera came near the park along with his friends. Ken and his friends can see them even though they were nearly 70 meters apart.

  All three except Ken were shocked because they didn’t know her friends were coming.

  “You didn’t tell us they were coming,” Harkey asked Ken.

  “Yeah, maybe I forgot to mention it,” Ken told them.

  But the most shocked person was Andrew.

  “What is happening here?” he couldn’t believe his eyes.

  He didn’t know what to do, as the defining feeling was confusion.

  Little did he know that the biggest surprise for him was at the beginning of the trip.
