2. The Choice

“I don’t why my life is like this cave, dense complicated and mysterious “, ken muttered.

He started hearing crazy bird sounds and the whole atmosphere around him shifted as the sun starts to fade and mysteriously looking cave started looking more and more darker.

Ken starts to feel the nerves in his veins and his head felt heavy for no reason. He started taking steps more half-heartedly out of his fear raising.

He starts to wonder if he can survive this darker place and return home safely. As the light started to diminish , his thought of walking into the cave also starts fading.

Out of panic, he started walking out of the cave.

“Why have I entered this cave knowing that sun’s going to set, will I reach home safely?” he asked himself.

After walking for over 30minutes he finally exited the forest and ran to his home from half-way out of fear.

He reached his home and straight away his mom started questioning him “where were you until now”, “why are you looking so worried” and so on.

Ken started answering questions as he eats his dinner. Then when he was about to sleep and he started blaming the universe as if it was not his fault for entering the cave late in the evening.

He woke up early in the morning and he was thinking about the things he saw in the cave.

“Should I go there today” he asked himself.

He took too much time thinking about this and missed the bus as usual.

“Why is this only happening to me every single day”, he muttered.

He started walking to college but ignores the forest route.

Even in the lectures he thought about everything he saw in the cave and when someone is talking to him, he didn’t listen to them clearly.

Unauthorized duplication: this tale has been taken without consent. Report sightings.

The day ended as he was relieved about him leaving college after a really unique day to say the least.

“Should I go to the cave again today”, he muttered.

“Go cave or Go home”, he shouted as he tossed the coin in the air.

Heads. He was shellshocked as he couldn’t believe he won 2 tosses in a row.

The clouds started gathering as if they want to appreciate ken winning consecutively.

“Oh, Now I have to go to the cave again”, he muttered.

As he walked into the forest, he realised he no longer felt the fear that he had the past day. He was not afraid of the sound of the birds or the atmosphere around him.

As he finally enters the cave, the cloud gets darker and within minutes the rain starts pouring. “What is happening”, he thought to himself.

“I think I don’t have any other choice”, he started walking out of the cave as the rain intensified.

When he returned home, His mother scolded him due to his clothes being wet and advises him to be more responsible.

Even though he was disappointed in himself due to decision of not entering the cave, he also felt proud as he was not really feared and didn’t feel the pressure like the past day.

“Definitely, I will go there tomorrow”, he sets a goal before going to sleep.

The next day started differently compared to the other days as ken finally boards the bus this time.

“Finally, something positive has happened to me”, he muttered.

"I had to have high hopes," he thought referring his life.

While he was travelling, he saw a person running at high speed, and everyone in the bus began speaking about him.

“It’s Andrew again. Why does he often come to college by running?” one muttered.

“Come by running?” Ken thought, shocked.

The day went on and his lectures felt more interesting to him as he was clear in his mind. The day ended as he chooses to walk again and tossed the coin yet again.

“Go to cave or Go home”, he shouted as he tossed up the coin.

Heads. “What is the probability of me winning 3 times in a row”, he laughed at himself.

As the weather was clear just like his mind today, he walked into the forest. The whole birds started recognising him as if he was there living in the forest.

“Now is the time to finally discover the myths of this cave”, he muttered with thrill.

As he walked into the cave, he didn’t realize that he was there for not the first time.

The look of the cave is pretty unique as it is really strong and it seemed like it was there for a long period of time. Many letters were carved but the language is not clear enough to be understood.

“How should I move now”, he asked as two stones were present in front of him blocking the way and in between them is a small gap as if it was measured for one person to enter.

“Has someone made this path?”, he muttered as he walks through that way. Then he hears some sound.

  Boom!

The rock present in the top fell, just barely ken survives as he jumps forward but his hand got struck into a half-broken stone.

“Ahh Why can’t I take my hand out”, he shouted with pain.

Only then he realized something was written in the stone that would surprise him the most.
