Chapter- 78 (I Am The Killer)

  Half an hour!

That was how long Mark remained sitting in the same lotus position, letting the breeze hit his body, letting the thoughts come in and go out of his mind, letting his memories mess around with him, but nothing happened.

There was no sound of nature. He literally explored nothing. His mind never went silent and calm, and instead, he only felt irritation as the time went by.

“FUCK THIS!!!” Mark screamed as he threw himself on the ground and let the world change and appear back in his spaceship.

But still not done, he turned his head towards Colby and others who were still laughing themselves to death, and a cruel smile came on his face, as he let the source energy come from his eyes, and he fired the energy at all the people, cutting them in half.

“MARK!” Ayden yelled as he grabbed Mark and made him sit on the chair carefully “What happened?”

"I got bored, that's what happened." Mark replied, "Nature's voice, my ass. Nothing's happening, alright. Forget nature's voice, I am only getting irritated by meditating. Killing and destroying are so much easier. You only need to fire your power, and boom, everyone's dead, and like you said, source power is more powerful than darkness, so why do I need to master it? Can't I just kill weak beings and obtain enough stat points to go to the higher floors? If I can master 33% of the source power passively, then I must be able to master 100% of it, and once I have done that, wouldn't I be able to turn the source power into all the 13 elemental powers, huh?"

Hearing Mark at the start, Ayden felt sudden anger rising from inside him, but the more he heard him, the less his anger became, until it completely vanished.

"You are right, that's another way too. But that's the most difficult and dangerous path. Not to say, others who have trained will always be ten times more powerful than you, because their elemental power will be at C grade by that time, or maybe even higher. Some of their elemental powers would've already reached the S grade. If not some elements, then one element, I guarantee you that, and I speak not just of your kind Mark, I am talking about all beings from Common to True Warriors, while you will still be starting your journey." Ayden said.

As he then paused and continued, "This tower is cruel, Mark, and the creatures who have survived this tower are crueler. You have the chance to be the cruelest and the most ruthless creature among them. You have the chance to kill and destroy every one of them. And just because it's boring and irritating, you are going to let that chance go."

This novel's true home is a different platform. Support the author by finding it there.

"No, that's not what I mean, okay." Mark hurriedly said, "It's just… my thoughts. I am meditating, but all I am thinking about is killing. It was so much easier before, Ayden. All I had to do was kill, get the stat points, and become powerful. There was no training, and I am good at killing Ayden. I am the best. I am 'The Killer.'"

Making Ayden stop himself from speaking any further.

Mark was a killer. It was as simple as that. Although his gift may have been erased, he was still the same person. His instinct, raw power, ruthlessness, and cunning were still the same.

To him, killing meant more fun than meditating and learning. He was totally different from the person he, Ayden, was.

He couldn't use the same training he used on himself to train Mark. Mark was a totally different person, with totally different habits and cravings.

“Alright, then, we will kill. If that’s what you want, if that’s what you are best at, then we will kill, and we will kill until you learn to utilize your powers in real battle.” Ayden said as he clicked his finger, making the world change once again.

But this time, when Mark appeared in his new surroundings, he found himself standing in a dark world, where darkness was so glaring that even he felt a chill crawling down his spine, while the smell of blood was so overwhelming that he couldn't help but want to puke.

But somehow he controlled himself as he spoke, "Why are we here?"

"To kill." Replied Ayden, "Darkness is the element you are most familiar with, while Ratrijita is the enemy who turned you into a true warrior, and I know, you respect and fear Ratrijita more than you fear Bloody wolves."

"I don't fear bloody wolves, alright." Mark retorted, "And I have killed Ratrijita. Yes, I respect them, but fear, naha…. I don't fear anyone. " Saying that he lit the source power on his hands, making the surrounding area gently lit up slowly with the light blue color "If Ratrijitas are the ones you want me to kill, then Ratrijitas are the ones I will kill. Let's start."

Saying that, he closed his eyes, as he put his left leg in front, bent a little down, raised both of his hands in front of him, took his most familiar stance, and got ready.

And seeing this, Ayden couldn’t help but smile. Yup, fearless Mark was the best Mark. Killer Mark was the best Mark.

As he snapped his fingers and disappeared.

In darkness, Mark stood, listening to everything intently, waiting for the strike to come, as he felt danger all around him.

This was the first time he felt such a feeling. There was no ringing bell, there was no sixth sense warning him, there was no bloodline or gift helping him, but somehow, everything still felt familiar to him.

It felt as if his body still knew all those things, and he just needed to get familiar.

For minutes, Mark stood just like a statue. Minutes turned into hours, but he still didn't move.

Not for a second did his attention falter. Not for a second did any other thought come to his mind. It was as if in this moment, he was nature itself.

While standing in the sky, Ayden was watching this scene for hours, intently too, waiting for Mark to give up, but no such thing happened.

As finally the darkness moved, and with it moved Mark.
