The teleportation girl reappeared in the middle of the thousands of wolves who were howling in joy, as tears streamed down her face "We did it, and I…….. nearly died."
Remembering the scene of Mark standing in front of her gave her such chills that even now she was feeling cold all over, but now it was all done.
Finally, it was done.
Looking at the sky, she spoke, "Brother, we did it. Father and I did it. We killed that mons…….. Kwack, kwack, kwack…………"
The teleportation girl couldn’t speak anymore as her throat was slashed open.
From behind when Mark came, from where he came, how he came, no one knew, but he just came and he came silently, so silently that not even a single soul realized, and by the time anyone realized it, the teleportation girl's throat was cut open.
Disbelief filled the atmosphere as the sudden stop of the howling put the forest again in unprecedented silence.
It all happened in an instant. No one knew when Mark appeared, and the simple reason for that was that he did not come in his tiger form.
The form, which was so intimidating that even hidden in darkness, used to give everyone chills, telling all beings that a predator was staring at them, giving them an instinctual awakening.
A predator that was so powerful that in front of it, they all were nothing but ants.
A predator, who was the king of the jungle.
But Mark's true human form was anything but that; it was nothing but humane, and no monster was afraid of it.
Humans may be afraid of humans, especially killers, but monsters, they weren't afraid.
Even if they get killed, even if they get slaughtered, their inner pride simply didn’t let them.
They were, after all, the top races of the world. Their pride was sky high.
And Mark knew that, because he was the king of all races, he knew what that pride leads to; he just became the biggest victim of that, but he learned so fast from his mistakes that in this very battle, he took advantage of that, and now every wolf in the forest was bearing the consequence of that.
Maya, my daughter………
A whimpering and sorrowful voice was suddenly heard in the forest. It was filled with such sadness that it was heartbreaking.
The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
It was as if millions of emotions were poured onto those three words alone, and hearing those words, all the wolves' heads turned towards the same direction.
In a faraway place, on Island Number 1, on top of the giant rock, which looked as big as the mountain itself, there stood a lone wolf.
It looked no different than normal Bloody Wolves. Yet every wolf in the forest looked at it with reverence and fear.
"Colby," Mark whispered as he looked at the lone wolf.
Yes, Colby, the same Colby that he killed. The same Colby who was Carl's father. The same Colby, because of whom his life became a living hell.
Even now, he was still alive. Not for a second did Mark think that he would die this easily. He knew Colby was alive and hiding somewhere.
Whatever he killed was nothing but a shell, just like he used to use his shadow.
And he was right, the Colby that he killed was nothing but a shell. Not just him, whoever he killed from the beginning may all have been nothing but shells, except for the teleportation girl or Maya.
Maya, Colby’s daughter.
No one knew that Colby had a daughter and that Carl had a sister. No one. Maybe Nora did, but she was dead. He couldn't ask this question of her, but knowing that Maya was Colby's daughter solved all the questions.
The sudden quest to gather everyone, to lower his guard, to give him exactly the island that he wanted to hunt Blake, and then betray him.
Brilliant plan, just one mistake though.
They forget who he was and what he could do. If he could kill those fifty students, slaughter thousands of beings in the forest to become one of the strongest beings, then he could also slaughter everyone else to become the only survivor.
And that was the plan from the beginning to the end, so nothing in his plan had changed; some worthless betrayals, two or three pawns getting out of hand, won't change the end result that he desired.
Plus, he also finally figured out where Colby was hiding. So everything's good if the ends good.
"Burst! Slit!" Again, the voice came, but this time it was no longer saddened, but unprecedently calm, as if the loss that the being had suffered was never there.
Oh, but it was there, and behind this calm was the storm that was going to shake the island itself.
And it did, the next second all the thousands of wolves, suddenly burst into blood, flames, ice, shockwaves, and so many attacks all together.
Thousands of wolves self-destructed altogether, ruining the Island Number 2 itself, as it ceased to exist altogether.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM......
But before all that happened, all Mark did was click his tongue and disappear into the darkness, but what he did not prepare for was the next part, which he saw from the darkness.
The wolves who stood beneath the stone where Colby stood were none other than the five wolves, who were filled with the elemental and gifted powers.
Fire wolf, Ice wolf, Physical powered twice-sized wolf, Agility powered thin yet small-sized wolf, and the last was normal Bloody Wolf, but its eyes were greenish in color. What power it had, Mark didn't know, but he knew one thing: if it was worthy to stand close to Colby, then it must not be normal.
And as the wolves burst open, self-destructing themselves to oblivion, these five wolves tore open their bodies with their claws.
From their stomach they tore themselves open, as they showered the surrounding with their blood, and then they just kept clawing, letting more and more blood pour out.
And from each of the blood that dropped on the ground, new small wolves kept regenerating, as running they made way for others to awake, and in no time the entire Island Number 1 was filled with five types of wolves, and they were all abnormals.
No, they were all simply gifted.
