What Agatha knew about the [Gaxidae], [The ars] and whoever Elizabeth wao fight, that was oing offer to give, especially given the circumstances.
Elizabeth had po fight them o a time aract the information in whatever form she could, but that would have been one messy fight, for sure. Aing the information...well, she had po experiment with her Dragoo mahat.
She hadn't expected for free data at least.
"So? What do you have for me?" Elizabeth asked to Agatha as the words settled down.
Agatha was information, then what was that information?
"Well, first of all...What do you know about the Gaxidae?" Agatha asked as an ao her question. That was rude.
Who answers a question with a question, really.
"They are the family of Evangeline ao be ied in politics; they married one of their members to Rossie's father in an attempt to broato a broader area of influence." Elizabeth said remembering what little she knew, "Also they seems to be a group of cultists."
That st was important because they had attacked Reginald, and in turn made her make Sebastian.
"Hmm....Cultists huh...that is actually a good way to see them," Agatha nodded her head, "Just ell them that to their face."
And she added that with a smirk, and a shake of her head, so Elizabeth had hit the nail in the head huh.
"The Gaxidae is one of the a families that have survived through time, war, and famine aheir reach across nations. There is no pce that hasn't been touched by them." Agatha started by summoning a book from one of the bookshelves at the back, "They have touched eaation and culture in the same way."
"So they influeions after all, damned cultists," Elizabeth said shaking her head.
"No, they never openly spoke or tried to make things to their way." Agatha answered as she opehe book, "Instead, they merely record and write what happens. They are historians."
The book had pictures of important moments throughout history. Pictures and paintings of kings and war rooms, presidents and photos of the gress, all with the same thing on them.
A perso a man or a woman. Dressed in a white robe writing, each picture or photo had them, all at the back of the image, all writing and none showing their face.
They hid their face, be it with the hood of the robe or with a top hat, but they never showed their fa the pictures.
"Really? They just wrote?" Elizabeth said while narrowing her eyes in suspi.
"I find that hard to believe, sidering what I heard from my own Mother." Rossie said from the side.
"They won't earn anything like this, and if so. How could they survive through history if they are merely rec what happehey would either o tamper the records to match what the winners of said wars wrote. You speak of them as if they stood in every flict, right?" Rena added, "Then that means that their recs would differ depending on the side they stood with, the winners decide history after all."
That was a fair point from the lovely (And hot) Rena.
Winners win, and they decide what goes into history. Uhey had access to Akasha, there was no way for them to make sure their recs stood true. And as far as Elizabeth knew, it wasn't till the [System] came into pce that people could actually i with that woman.
"That is easy, actually," Agatha said, bringing another book, "They didn't release their recs to the world at rge and merely kept writing."
That...was stupid. They cimed themselves to be recorders of history a didn't share what they recorded?
Why do it in the first pce then?
"Are...are they dumb?" Elizabeth felt weird saying that, she was, after all. The prime example of how to be a bimbo...or was anyway.
"They are...different, unlike most a s they didn't ower or political might, they wanted just to record things for posterity. No one knows where their library is or why they wahat. But that is what they did." Agatha said, bringing more and more books that recorded the presence of the Gaxidae. "There are rumors that if you see one of them with an open book, then something important is about to happen, and most thought of this as mere urban legends... Till your Mother came around anyway."
Agatha brought another book and opehis one had a title that made Elizabeth greatly ied in its tents.
[The Advent of Magical Girls]
"See... they gregated on a spot for weeks, people in the know started to get antsy because of that. The Gaxidae didn't say why or when it would happen, they merely tiaring to the sky..." Agatha brought a neer at the side too, or a part of it, "Till the sky broke and a girl dressed in a style of clothing that no one had seen before showed up."
On the bd white photo stood...a young woman, she looked barely older than Elizabeth whearted ing to the MPI. Actually, she may look younger, but it was hard to narrow down how old she looked there.
Unlike Elizabeth, the girl in the picture...was very petite and...less...
"Hmm...hard to think of her as your Mother Eli-Eli. She doesn't have... as much as you going for her." Rossie said looking at the picture and then to her.
Uhe figure she was used of her Mother, the girl there didn't have as mu her chest after all.
The girl was dressed in the usual Magical Girl style that Elizabeth was used, but the article described a weird girl wearing a fitted bodi pastel colors, a celestial blue adorned with ces and sparkly ats.
A jeweled broo her chest tied with a ribbon and a mini skirt that was too short a somehow was impossible to look under. High tight stogs and a pair of boots that got all the way to her knee, puffy and short sleeves, and long white gloves.
And finally, there was a cute golden tiara with a star in the middle to finish her.
"The people didn't know if she was crazy or what, but the fact that she was flying and had multiple types of powers made her different from the people with powers of the time." Agatha said bringing another article, this time her Mother stood against a man that seemed to be roughly on his thirty. He was muscur and behind him stood a squad of soldiers with their ons trained on her Mother.
While behind the now irl stood a group of girls dressed like her but with staves raised high against the armed men.
"And the gover didn't like her. The fact that they couldn't find her on any database, nor the girls that she kept bringing from...somewhere, they thought of her as dangerous. But the fact that she was helpihe world safe couldn't be tested." Agatha said showing pictures of Mother helping in disasters and proteg civilians in war sarios.
"And the Gaxidae stood in eaent rec?" Elizabeth said finding in iing that every one of these had been recorded.
"Yes, every one of these events was recorded thanks to the Gaxidae. Same with your Father." Agatha said showing the pictures of Papa too.
It was at that moment that Elizabeth's brain made a sudden realization, "...How are these still here? Didn't the [Advent] erase all the evideny parent's time on the mortal pne?" Elizabeth said grabbing the closest book and reading it again.
It didn't have their names, of course, but it had a pretty good description to match them, and while they didn't have their name or code name. She could match those description with them easily enough.
"This is what makes the Gaxidae so dangerous," Agatha said nodding at her question, "They have...means to keep the information, we aren't sure how they did it, but they mao keep some information of the world pre [Advent]."
That was...dangerous. It meant that they mao either sidestep or ht dodge a [Divine Decree], granted. Mother wasn't the most...thh one. But even so, the fact that they mao keep this much...
"Wait, then they knew who my parents were all this time?" Elizabeth suddenly asked, this would ge many things on how she approached things.
"Not quite. Your parents didn't leave much about their normal life for the public, or at least there isn't aion of the Mother of Magic having a daughter." Agatha said shaking her head again, "Besides you are overestimating what they mao keep, at best what I found are stories about a powerful magical girl and a mighty Hero."
"I see...so they know things, more than they should. But not as much as I fear?" Elizabeth asked then, if they only knew some things, then they wouldn't be a problem on that front.
"Abht, they know more than they should. They probably know more about ic System and Power system than anyone else. But how mud how much have they applied is anyone's guess." Agatha said, shrugging, "What you must be aware of is that they have skills desigo glean information. The base ward used here to gauge your strengths was made using their works as a base, so depending on how easy it mao pierce your defenses..."
"I lowered those; I allowed the ward to read me," Elizabeth said befatha could say anything else.
"...be that as it may be. You o be ready for them to read you, how muformation you mao keep to yourself could be the key for your victory." Agatha said in a more somber tone, "I give you some wards that have been able to stop intrusion from some members of the Gaxidae before, but I 't guarahem w against members higher on their ranks."
And sure enough, Agatha brought a couple scrolls and hahem to Elizabeth. Opening Elizabeth found some versions of privad security nodes, which were iing applications of such cepts, some feeding fake data while others merely redirected the iigation away towards other parts. As if to make the mana find other information first and then merely adding the fake data when it was returning.
The sed seemed to be the better option, but Elizabeth wasn't sure about by how muoheless, "Thank you," Elizabeth thanked Agatha.
This must be hard oo do, after all, she was activelly going against one of the world powers, all for Elizabeth... Or well, because her [Godess] had instructed as such, but same thing.
Most people while found surprised, they wouldn't mind obeying the orders of their [Gos], so the fact that Agatha eveertained [Odyssey] was good.
"And the [ars]?" Elizabeth asked , "They are the more dangerous of the two...at least for now. Sihe Gaxidae haven't done anything against me after almost three years of wait."
"Three years of wait?" Agatha asked fused, "You had a csh with them when almost three years ago? Before ing to the MPI?"
"Actually it was here, they killed one of my summons and made me repce it with other uheir and. Not like that worked for them, I mao recover my old Summon." Elizabeth said shrugging, "That is why I am searg information about them, my problem with the [ars] isn't as big, but they may get on the way so I want to che them too."
"Why would they even..." Agatha asked while sighing, "This is where your Mother would usually pester me to take a picture ush about how you look, it is weird not having her breathing down my neck."
Elizabeth couldn't rete. At all. Or well, she could, but not on a 24/7 setting.
"I probably return her..." Elizabeth said trying to take a peek at her Soul, but once more she couldn't find that space where Alid Chloe lived...And where Mother and Papa were at the moment...
"No, that's fihe [ars] then..." Agatha said taking a sed, "How much do you know about them?"
"I knew most of them were around the levels 60-80 after [Advent]. Just after they stopped being the [Twelve] and moved to be the [ars]." Elizabeth started with, she had seee that Jenna made, "Except for [The Juggernaut] that is, she was already level 99."
"Hmm....I am not privy to those details, but I doubt many of them were on the low end of 60." Agatha said shaking her head, "But that is beside the point."
Agatha started weaving mana into the air, and her mana turned into letters, "There are some people with different opinions about who is and isn't part of the [ars], but these are the most popur oo be part of them." And so, the words weaved into the air said.
-The Beast Master
-The Traveler
-The Tinkerer
-The Mother Of Shadows
-The Elementalist
-The Monk
-The Prophet
-The Sniper
-The Warlock
"Others like to include [The Juggernaut] and remove either [The Warlock] or [The Tinkerer]. Others like to remove [The Traveler] and include someone else, but this is the popur one." Agatha said turning to Elizabeth, "As far as I know...The ones you should be wary of are [The Mother of Shadows], [The Prophet], [The Warlock], and [The Elementalist]."
That was...iing.
"Why of them and not of the others?" Elizabeth asked.
"First [The Beast Master] rarely travels hts against others; he is mostly standing his ground in a danger zone preventing S-Tier invasion from spilling into our world." Agatha started and shoicture of a man standing in front of the o. " [The Traveler] and [The Tinkerer], both are more...civilian focus, we don't have many records of [The Traveler], ahink he is mostly either a message or the one in charge of mobilizing the [ars] around, like their personal teleporter. As for [The Tinkerer], she has 0 public appearances. As such, they probably will not be ied in you, and if there are weak links, they are two of thems."
That was...fair, as far as she remembered, the [Traveler] didn't have such preseher.
"[The Monk] and [The Sniper] however..." Agatha said, turning to the st three hat she had said wouldn't be a problem, "The [Monk] is an ascetik, and the st... well, she only targets high-profile civilians. So long you stay away from those you should be fine."
"Fair enough, then what you tell me about [The Mother of Shadows], [The Prophet], [Warlock] and [The Elementalist]?" Elizabeth asked. "Shouldn't at least two of those be allies? Sihey deal with [Gods], [The Prophet] at least should want to please Mother."
"That...is more plicated than you think." Agatha said sighing, how plicate could it be?
