Tiamat

  Pov Dia,

Carerra had fun showing off his ring just to annoy everyone and feel superior. This made me ugh a little, but I prepared myself for any conflict that might come up. Luckily, nothing happened, except that they all insisted I go on a date as soon as possible.

Sirzechs: [Sorry to bother you, but I wanted to ask you something.]

  I received a mental call from Oni-sama.

  Dia: [What do you need?]

Sirzechs: [Did you speak to the Chaos Karma Dragon, Tiamat?]

Oh no! I knew I had forgotten something, but I couldn’t remember what.

I remember now: I had to ask Scathach-sensei to talk to Tiamat to see if she could help us with the peerage combat area.

Dia: [I haven’t received her answer yet, but you’re right. I should go ask her for a response as soon as possible.]

After that, I went straight to Scathach-sensei to ask where Tiamat was, and once I knew, I headed into the Valley of Dragons to meet her.

When I arrived, I saw a dragon of azure color sleeping peacefully.

Knowing that dragons have a very deep sleep, I didn’t hesitate to wake her abruptly.

Dia: "WAKE UP, IT’S 6:00 IN THE MORNING!"

I quickly dodged her tail as it whipped towards me and then started speaking.

Dia: "I’m sorry to wake you like this, but I had no other way to do it."

Tiamat: "Who are you, and what do you want?"

Dia: "I am Dia Eucus, leader of the Eucus faction and the newest member of the 10 strongest after defeating Hades. I’m here to make a proposal."

Tiamat: "I don’t care about your proposal. I wouldn’t listen to you, but if you do me a favor, I promise on my honour to hear you out."

Dia: "I want you to promise to do what I ask."

Tiamat: "You managed to find the loophole in this exchange. You’re less pathetic than I thought. Very well, I promise to do what you ask, as long as it’s reasonable."

Dia: "I promise, it’s just a job to propose to you."

Tiamat: "If you want me to take on this job, you must find the treasures that foolish red celestial dragon stole from me and then lost. If you can recover a piece of it or offer me something equivalent to a part of what I lost, I’ll agree to do whatever you want."

I took out a power crystal I had found on the crystal pnet and showed it to her.

I think she widened her eyes before her form began to glow and shift into a human appearance.

She transformed into a beautiful woman with light blue hair.

Tiamat: "Where did you find that? How can a crystal have so much energy?"

Dia: "I’m not going to tell you because I wouldn’t want you to steal them from me. But I’m willing to give you this in exchange for doing the job I’m offering."

Tiamat: "Even though it’s quite interesting, this small piece isn’t enough for me to obey you."

I made a mountain of crystals appear, roughly the same height as me.

  Dia: "What about now?"

  Tiamat: "I accept."

She took the crystals and examined them; I could see greed in her eyes, but unlike others, it was simply a desire to keep what was rightfully hers, not to want more—though that likely wouldn’t bother her either.

I expined the situation: that we wanted to use our power to create a pce where peerages could fight safely, without risking death.

After listening, Tiamat agreed but warned that the system to remove a person when they are close to death isn’t foolproof, and there’s still a minimal chance they could die.

I decided to bring her with me to meet the Four Satans to discuss everything further and to help her better understand our vision for the arena.
