103~A New Summon

Yvlena and Dyn found themselves in Bloom Meadow, sying the Horned Rabbits that scurried to attack them.

“It’s been so long since I’ve actually been in this Meadow huh,” Yvlena reminisced, she recalled how tough it had been to defeat her first few enemies. Now she could lift her Moon Sickle ahe critical hit in one blow.

“I still miss my Carrot Sword but until I find those Ores it’s going to stay damaged,” She muttered.

Yvlena heard a g resound behind her, she turned around to watch Dyn face a particurly tough Horned Rabbit, the little beast ran forward jamming its horn into Dyn’s sword. He blocked it, pushing sainst the beast, that his foot dug dirt up from the ground.

Yvlena attempted to step in but Dyn shouted for her not to interfere. Yvlena stepped back, keeping an eye otle before her. She would protect him even if she had to step in against his wishes.

“Whew,” Dyn sighed after finally sying the creature, Yvlena nodded a her hand stray from her sheath.

“Good job, we’ll be heading into the forest now, it’s a long way from the outpost so we better not dally,” Yvlena said.

Dyn gulped, looking up at the Bloom Forest’s entrance fearfully. He ran to her side, following her lead into the forest. He sed the path, finding nothing but enemies in the distance, he wasn’t in a hurry to face them anytime soon.

“Yvlena has the Miasma really gone from here?” Dyn asked.

She urning around to reassure him that he wouldn’t be fag any Miasma corrupted beasts anytime soon.

  “Don’t worry about it,”

Dyn held his sword close, moving swiftly through the forest while remaining behind Yvlena. He looked at the elven girl’s determined fad found fort in her unwavering expression. Sure he wasn’t as strong as her but he could learn.

“Okay,” He said releasing a breath he was holding.

Yvlena swiftly took care of a few foxes and Horned Rabbits, ing her a few more loot as she and Dyn pressed on.

“Hold on I got this,” Dyn said fending off some armed Field Mice, he swung his sword in a wave, parrying two little mice at ohe mice persisted, running at him with their small swords.

“Yah!” Dyn yelled, cutting them down, Yvlena stood to the side letting him bask in his victory. She nodded in approval, against some of the smaller enemies she didn’t o worry about him but she couldn’t help but wonder what would happen if she o protect him from a wolf.

“We’ll cross that bridge whe there, I have my summons after all,” Yvlena said under her breath.

  [Your panion gained a level]

The game told her, Yvlena gasped. She didn’t know Dyn would be able to level up just like a pyer. She supposed it made sense if he could accept a quest, then it should have been possible for him to level up as well.

He was doing a good job with some of the weaker eoo.

“Brace yourself, we’ll be entering the sed level of the forest soon and there are some strong enemies here,” Yvlena warned. She turned back to examine his expression and as she expected, Dyn’s face ale with worry.

A hint of determination shohrough his trembling lips, Yvlena could respect that.

“Don’t worry, you’re not alone,” She said encingly.

“I know…” Dyn said lowly, “I’ve just never been this far out before, even when I go to gather the herbs Iris needs for her teas,”

“I guessed and it’s best you don’t wander off too far until you fortably take down a fox at least, there are wolves in this forest too,” Yvlena said.

“L-Like that,” Dyn asked lifting a shaking fi the creature. Yvlena looked ahead to find a rge wolf growling at them, barring its shining rows of teeth at them. Even without being tainted by the Miasma, it was a menag sight to behold.

  “Yes, like that,” Yvlena gasped.

The two gulped, Yvlena didn’t like fighting wolves. Of all the forest creatures she took on, wolves were always the worst. Notoriously ing and strong, they took a while to beat too and she wao get Dyn to his father’s grave as soon as possible.

“Sprite, Rabbit Knight,” Yvlena called, she paused recalling the third summon she had equipped herself with. “Kuti,”

She was hesitant to summon the doll, w it wouldn’t be as strong as her other ones. But it would only grow strong the more she equipped it in battle.

The gray a doll was small only ing up to Yvlena’s khe por doll was dressed in bd white Gothic ce with a bck bo c her dark ris. The doll turned around looking up at Yvlena with dark rimmed blue eyes.

The wolf doesn’t give them any ce for introdus before it lunges. Dyn runs forward, sword raised too high in the air to be swung down quickly.

Yvlena smacked her forehead and groaned, Kuti inched closer to the battle, pulling up her dress to run forward and joiher summons in battle.

  [Kuti cast weaken (03MP)]

A dark cloud appeared above the Wolf’s head and remaihere as Rabbit Knight sshed the creature’s side with its rapier.

[Wolf afflicted with weakness, -30% HP and Attack]

The Wolf yelped, already limping from the bination of the status effects and the attack. It pulled back a bit before lunging forward at the party to p down on them with its powerful jaws.

Yvlena’s stepped back, causing the Wolf to miss its mark. She kicked its jaw, dealing some damage with her retaliation.

  [Sprite cast Sting (01MP)]

The little fairy flitted around attag with her balls of fairy magic made all the more effective by Kuti’s inflicted status ailment.

The Wolf gave a final howl before it colpsed, fading away in fkes of light.

“Huh? I got less Exp this time,” She looked back at Dyn who was still standiantly to the side and wondered if he had gotten the rest of the experience from the battle.

“You summon, I’ve never seen anyone summon before,” Dyn said iement. He stood, staring at the summons standing before him with wonderment. He reached out to touch Rabbit Knight only for the small creature to brandish his bde and squint in anger.

“I wouldn’t do that if I were you, Rabbit Knight doesn’t like to be picked up all that much,” Yvlena said in warning.

“I’m sorry about that,” Dyn said, apologizing to the summon who nodded and sheathed his sword.

While Dyn admired her other summons Yvlena took the time to address the addition to her team.

She squatted down to the level of the a doll and spoke in a soft voice to prevent startling the little doll. Kuti looked up at her with big, shiny eyes.

“Hello, I’m Yvlena your summoner. o meet you, Kuti,”

The doll curtsied and turs little mouth into a smile. For its supposedly creepy appearance, Kuti was quite cheerful, Yvlena found her adorable.

“Alright Dyn, the ke is up and we catch our breaths there,” she said pointing to the path up ahead.

  “Right,” Dyn said following along.
