  “It seems so,” Yu Wen replied, looking up at the teag building in front of her, a hint of unease flickering across her face. “We’re killing people right uheir noses, and no one is reag.”

  “Doctor,” the Fatty watched as Jiang g pulled a camera out from uhe bed, bewildered. “When did you put that in? I didn’t even know.”

  Jiang g picked up the camera, tapping the s as he replied, “My bad; ime there’s a situation like this, I’ll give you a week’s notice.”

  “Doctor,” after a while, Fatty pined, “I’m not as smart as you. ime you figure something out, could you please let me know discreetly? I spent all night w, and my eyes are all red now.”

  As Jiang g tidied up, putting the camera away in its bag and slinging it over his shoulder, he casually replied, “Two points.”

  “First, I only guessed st night, and this guess wasn’t firmed until just now.”

  “Sed,” Jiang g pulled out a half-eaten chocote bar and stuffed it into his pocket, then turned around and sighed. “Fatty, think about it—if I had told you the truth st night, do you think you would have been able to sleep?”

  Fatty pursed his lips and said, his tone devoid of sadness, “Sounds like uardian Brothers are in trouble.”

  After a moment, Fatty, slightly flicted, said, “Doctor, the two guys in room 405 are probably done for, but I think the girl in 406, named Yu Wen, isn’t bad. She seems quite upright and even actively shared information with us.” He paused, looking up and saying, “I think deceiving her wouldn’t make sense. If we could cooperate…”

  Jiang g stopped and turo look at Fatty, making the tter’s back feel cold.

  “Doctor,” Fatty cleared his throat.

  “What are y to say?”

  Jiang g stared at him, his gaze growing more uling. Just as Fatty was about to lose his posure, Jiang g asked, “Do you like her?”

  Fatty was stuaking a long time to recover, feeling somewhat embarrassed. “Doctor, what are you talking about?”

  “You don’t like her,” Jiang g nodded as if firming something, then tio ask, “So you know her?”

  “No, I don’t know her.”

  “Then you must uand her,” Jiang g slightly nodded.

  “No, no,” Fatty quickly waved his hands. “I didn’t say I uahis is our first time meeting here. I swear I’ve never seen her in real life!”

  Fatty raised his hand, making a solemn oath.

  Jiang g’s expression was strange, instinctively making him feel uneasy.

  After a few seds, Jiang g suddenly smiled, reag out to pat Fatty’s shoulder.

  Just as Fatty thought everything would be alright, his colr was suddenly yanked forward with great force.

  In the sed, Jiang g was staring at him, his dark eyes looking down at him.

  “I’m very curious, how do you dare to vouch for someone you don’t like, don’t know, and don’t uand? To eve your life on it?”

  “I want to hear your expnation,” Jiang g said, “Fatty.”
