"1975"
My birth was an accident.
Wether I try to deny it or not, it doesn't change the facts. Facts are cold and hard, they aren't fun. I would rather Mom have kept lying about wanting to keep me than be honest.
Even still, I always could tell the truth from her lies. After all, she hasn't smiled a single time in my presence.
"Child, don't tell me you're in that stupid swing again !"
Her words were cold and devoid of any affection, her eyes filled with disgust just at the sight of me.
"M-Mom ? Why are you looking at me like this ? What did I do ?"
"You have the same face as that man. Why did you have to look like him ?"
Her eyes widened and her terror grew as I got closer to her.
"Are you talking about father ?"
My question was only met with the painful sound of her hand connecting with my cheek.
"I told you not to bring up that man ! It's your fault he left me, you disgusting creature !"
How strange, even though my cheek was hit, I felt the damage on my heart instead.
She violently grabbed my hand, tightening the grip to the point of hurting me. Forcing me to follow her.
"Mom, you're hurting me."
When she turned her head to look down at my small body once again, she gave me a look that sent shivers down my spine.
"You deserve it, you vixen ! If only you were more intelligent, at least I could do something with you, Child."
Did Mother forgot she gave me a name at some point ? Ever since dad left us, it was like she was a completely different person.
Day after day, indulging herself in fine wine and debauchery.
"I wonder when Father will be back."
I asked myself, diligently studying for a high school I didn't want to go to in the first pce.
Even though she acts like this, I'm certain Mom loves me.
Trying to get some fresh air from this suffocating room, I opened the window. The wind blew, putting a smile on my face.
Out of pure boredom, I observed the outside world from the confine of my home.
Even though the walls are made of bricks, they remind me of steel bars.
Out there, I could observe three boys my ages pying ball. They seemed quite unbothered. I was I had the luxury to be this carefree.
Mom keeps telling me Father left on a business trip but he never sends us any letter. I wonder why that is ?
Did Father cease to love me ?
I chose to not ask myself not much more question.
After some time, I was finally done studying. Those books are quite hard to understand, they honestly don't feel like I should comprehend them.
What in the bloody hell is an appendix in the first pce ?
This literature was filled with a mumbo jumbo of incomprehensible words I couldn't grasp. To be honest, it was hurting my head.
"I need to refresh myself after thinking so much."
Suddenly, my room turned bck, stars appearing one by one in my room as if I was in Space.
My head became heavier, a torrent of nonsensical words thrown into it.
The only words I was able to understand were "Mother...Find... Happiness".
Hapiness, huh? I wonder what shape that emotion takes. Even though the situation was ridiculous and frankly frightening, I hated to admit but I was more afraid of my mother.
"No, Sally, remember Mother's words, you are not supposed to think like that. She's only making you stay here because she loves you."
The words were giving me a strong headache. Images of Mom constantly saying "I hate you" making circles into my mind.
"W-What's happening..."
A bck hole formed, a mass of flesh coming out of it.
"Ahhh !"
It slowly assumed form, copying every part of my body to perfection.
"Greetings, Sally !"
The being bowed to me, a wide smile on it's face.
"H-Hello... W-Why do you look like me ?"
It seemed as if it downed on the monster that it looked like me.
"This God is very specific about wanting his rules to be followed yet wants us, an outer god to participate in this joke. Even the fact they're making us speak human nguage is ridiculous."
"G-Gods ? Am I dead ?"
My clone scratched its head, small tentacles falling as it did.
"Huh ?!"
I immediately checked to see if I had some as well.
"No, you don't. Even though I look like this, I'm just borrowing an aspect of your self to physically talk to you. While I'm not interested in human nor gods of the human order worldly affairs either, I heard the cries of a child observing this space continuum."
While I didn't understand a single thing this being was saying, I felt somewhat reassured.
"Cries ? Who's crying, hum... Sally bis ?"
The creature was stunned.
"Sally bis ?"
"Well, if I am Sally and I came first, then that makes you Sally bis."
"..."
"..."
"Call me Ctü, Child. We will not be named after a human child."
"What's wrong with my name, Ctü ?"
"Child, do you even understand the situation you're in right now ?"
The clone extended a hand.
"You want revenge on your mother, don't you ? I came here after hearing the cries of your soul. "
" I would never hurt Mother !"
The creature had a creepy smile that extended to it's ears in response to my excmation. Tentacles sprouting out of it's back.
" I knew that human children were naive but to think it was to this extent. Just so you know, Child, I can see your deepest desires."
Then...
"Yes, I know those innocent hands want to be tainted by blood ! After all, deep down, you want to kill that human woman."
Even though I didn't want to actually admit it, I knew she was right...
"Huh ? What is this ?"
I felt a light sensation on the back of my neck, as if a small needle pierced it.
"I marked you, Child. From this day onward, we are partners."
The word "partners" honestly sounded quite appealing.
As I thought this, my room came back to normal.
"Was I having a nightmare ?"
A voice suddenly resonated in my head.
"I'm afraid not, Child."
This confirmed my suspicions that all I saw was indeed real.
"Now, go where I want you to. I'll show you the true nature of this human woman you dare call a mom."
"But... Mom doesn't hide anything from me..."
"Spoken like a real child, you're really naive, Child. Let's see if you can keep up that naiveté after seeing the truth however."
