Warhammer: Lord of the Endless Monster Horde [32]

A few minutes ter, Rhodes led the group to the area beneath the second swarm tendril. At this moment, a rge number of Tyranid aerial units were circling in the sky.

Apart from the most common Gargoyle units, there were also Harpies, Hive Crones, and even rge units like flying Tyranid Warriors.

There was even a massive Harridan, a giant Tyranid creature with a body length of 30 meters. This type of creature was incredibly powerful—previously, one had been deployed to fight against the Red King. However, it couldn't nd on the ground, so it could only rely on the Gargoyle units it carried to continuously attack, which didn't pose much of a threat to the Red King.

But at the time, the Red King cked effective long-range attacks and couldn't deal with such a massive creature.

However, if facing King Joe, this enormous Harridan could py a crucial role.

The previous attack on the first tendril had alerted the swarm. The Tyranid forces had begun gathering rge numbers of aerial units here for defense.

Seeing this, Rhodes frowned. In this situation, he had to call for reinforcements—Tyranid forces were indeed not easy to deal with!

Rhodes opened the system panel and directly deployed the Pedan spaceship.

Since he was sitting inside King Joe's cockpit, only Rhodes could see the outside world through the system.

The others could only observe through small gaps in King Joe's chest, so they didn't notice the massive spaceship appearing out of thin air.

As soon as the Pedan spaceship and King Joe appeared, countless Gargoyle units and Harpies swarmed like a dense cloud of bees, crashing into them. The loud bangs of impact echoed from King Joe's chest!

Outside, the Tyranid beasts let out frenzied roars, using various means to try and breach King Joe's defenses.

The beam attacks from King Joe could only clear out a portion of them, while many of the Tyranids clung to his body and couldn't be shaken off. Their numbers kept increasing, eventually covering King Joe's entire body.

If no action was taken, the sheer weight of the accumuted Tyranids would cause King Joe to plummet.

The Tyranid swarm had extensive battle experience and knew exactly how to take down rge airborne units.

Rhodes immediately spent 2,000 system coins to upgrade King Joe's Pedanium cannons and reinforce his armor.

The firepower of King Joe's cannons increased slightly, and a rapid-fire mode was unlocked.

His armor was reinforced, increasing his height to 57 meters and his weight to 50,000 tons.

The bronze-colored armor transformed into a shimmering golden hue, making him look even more majestic and imposing.

The external strengthening effect was simir to what had happened with the Red King—a burst of golden light enveloped King Joe, instantly burning away all the Tyranid creatures clinging to him.

Inside the cockpit, the Space Marines and Imperial Sisters of Battle were left completely stunned.

A radiant golden light enveloped them, while outside, the Tyranid creatures screamed in agony before suddenly falling silent.

From within this golden brilliance, they felt an indescribable sense of exhiration—even their very souls seemed uplifted.

"This golden light! This is the Emperor's miracle! This is the Emperor's miracle!"

"It's the divine sign of the God-Emperor! The God-Emperor is watching over us! We shall be victorious in this war!"

"Cough! Cough! Long live the God-Emperor!"

Rhodes barely managed to hold back his ughter as he joined in the chant.

"Damn it! I just upgraded a monster, and you guys are calling it an Emperor's miracle?"

"When I upgraded the Red King, it also had golden light! You guys didn't get this excited back then!"

But then Rhodes recalled that the Red King's glow had been more of a dull yellow, not as dazzlingly golden as King Joe's.

So they hadn't reacted much back then. But now, sitting inside King Joe, bathed in golden light, and witnessing the instant annihition of the Tyranid swarms, they had mistaken it for the Emperor's divine intervention.

After the upgrade, King Joe became even more durable.

Shaking his head, Rhodes activated King Joe's transformation sequence.

The colossal mecha fused together, forming a giant robot. Then, King Joe's Pedanium main cannon locked onto the 30-meter-long Harridan soaring through the sky.

  BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

The massive Harridan shrieked in agony as three enormous holes were bsted into its body.

It plummeted to the ground, crushing countless Tyranids beneath its weight.

"This is the Emperor's miracle! This Titan of the Golden Age—surely the Emperor himself participated in its design!"

  The Captain spoke solemnly.

After King Joe completed his transformation, a holographic dispy appeared inside the cockpit, allowing everyone to directly observe the outside world.

"That's right! And did you notice? After receiving the Emperor's blessing, this Titan's body has become even more radiant with golden brilliance."

  The Canoness added.

"This is the Emperor's divine sign!"

  Rhodes' mouth twitched.

"Damn it! From now on, I won't even need to expin when I upgrade King Joe. I'll just say it's an 'Emperor's miracle!'"

  Rhodes nodded solemnly and decred:

"Indeed, this is the Emperor's divine sign."

King Joe's massive form charged toward the Tyranid swarm tendrils.

Any Tyranid that stood in its way was crushed into pulp beneath the steel titan's feet.

Even the Tyranid Bio-Titan, the Hierophant, was blown apart by King Joe's Pedanium cannon in rapid-fire mode.

Under Rhodes' control, King Joe unleashed a relentless bombardment upon the Tyranid hive fleet tendrils.

Meanwhile, the Pedan spaceship ascended to an altitude of 1,000 meters, unching a devastating assault on the upper sections of the hive tendrils.

  BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

At 1,000 meters high, one of the Tyranid Hive Ship tendrils was severed, colpsing from the sky.

The colossal tendril cluster fell, crushing countless Tyranids beneath it.

This attack earned Rhodes another 5,000 system coins, leaving him with a bance of over 13,000 coins.

Rhodes piloted King Joe into the sky, heading toward the next target.

He then spent 4,000 system coins on further upgrades:

[Pedanium cannon enhancement (added a charge mode).]

[Armor reinforcement (King Joe's dimensions upgraded to 60 meters tall and 52,000 tons).]

[A new armor color choice: gold or bck.]

Rhodes immediately chose gold—who the hell would pick bck at this point? It didn't affect performance anyway.

Once again, everyone inside the cockpit was bathed in golden radiance.

"The Emperor is guiding us to victory!"

A Battle Sister trembled with excitement, shouting with fervor.

"Glory to the God-Emperor! Glory to the God-Emperor!"
