Chapter 30
All Hell Breaks Loose
Endgame, Part 3
From the perspective of King Artorious Syndonia...
"Damn it! What's taking so long?! I've got an army of hundreds of thousands, and they can't find a couple of simple bitches?!!"-Artorious.
"My liege. We've demolished every ruin or structure that's even remotely big enough for a person to hide in and still no trace of them, nor system notification of their deaths." Says the first lieutenant of the army to arrive and report the news.
"EH?! You say you demolished every ruin? Not searched? Not obliterated?! You worthless peon! MAGES! Prepare to turn this entire site into a pool of iridescent lava! Let not even the tiniest bug survive!"-Artorious
"But. The men?..." and that's the last line the leader of the mages says before Artorious makes his head explode with but a glare.
"Any other idiots questioning my orders?"-Artorious
"No.. No, Sire! We just need time to get into position!"
"Then I suggest you get started, before I actually lose my patience... WAIT What the hell is THAT?!" Says the king as he points at the mushroom cloud rising over the crest of the nearby mountains, lightning hurling around inside with wild abandon. The ground soon shakes as if the earth itself is enraged, causing men to be thrown from their horses, the beast themselves fleeing in sheer terror.
"SIRE! I'VE FOUND THEM!" cries out one of the mages using far-seeing magic to scan the mountains as a result of the king's outcry into the nature of the phenomenon. “THEY'RE ON THE MOUNTAIN, RUNNING BACK DOWN, FLEEING AN AVALANCHE!”
"Good man! How long until they're buried like the sinners they are?!"-Artorious.
"There's some kind of flying vehicle swooping down on them... AND THEY'RE GONE!"
"Must be the work of the mighty god Pmurt Dlanod! Praise be His Holy Name!!"
All the soldiers and the king start shouting "MAGA! MAGA! MAGA!!"
"Look! That must be the envoy of Dlanod!" harks Artorious, pointing at Jade's ship as it flies away from the crumbling mountains under which the now imploding mines lay. The ship, though flying near half a kilometer overhead, is going so fast that its wake still reaches the ground, shoving everyone to the earth and dragging them along for a meter or two in its passing. Light clothes, such as the wizards' robes and other fine linens were torn right off and shredded by the wind, the sheer volume of the shock wave rendered quite a sizable portion of the army deaf, and loose dirt and stone tore through them like a sandstorm.
This is just the ship slowing down, it was going that fast. It takes a good hour, maybe two, before the ship has slowed enough that it can make a safe landing, many kilometers away from the Sydonia army.
The landslides and avalanches arrive at the foot of the mountain shortly after.
After the ship lands, the view returns to the cockpit where Alura and Iluna are unbuckled from their seats, Iluna even making final adjustments on her armor, which she could not do while she was fleeing the landslides and was sitting in the seat of the rapidly flying and maneuvering craft.
"THAT! WAS! SO! COOL!!" Alura says excitedly. "I can't believe we just blew through Sydonia's entire royal army like that!"
"I might have enjoyed it more if I hadn't had to suffer my armor uncomfortably shoving itself into some very delicate places."-Iluna.
"Why was your armor in such a state?”"
We had to drop my armor as we were climbing up out of the mine's ruins because of how dark, narrow, and steep the spiral chamber up and out was. Then I had to put it back on in a hurry when the mountain started to cave in on itself. What was that by the way?"-Iluna.
Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon.
"I'd love to tell you, but we seem to have a rather large audience eager to get our attention. Which reminds me. Now's the perfect time to accept my latest System Reward and get myself a honest from the gods' humanoid body. Hmm? What's this? A System notice?"
Due to continued use, your [Analyze] skill has evolved to level 3.
Level 2: Your skill's effective range increased from 1 meter radius to 3 meters radius.
Level 3: You can now use [Analyze] to acquire or update blueprints without having to destroy the original item. The skill still does not work on living things.
"Oh. That's nice. Now I can keep my blueprints up to date without having to destroy and remake everything! Well. No time like the present."

Awakening consciousness. Enjoy your new body, Jade.
"GASP! Wow. That was... interesting. I hope to never have to go through that again."-Jade.
"Are you alright, Jade? That took longer than it did with me!"-Alura
"I don't know how long I was dead, but I doubt I was being put back together body-part by body-part like that."-Iluna
"Yeah. I feel fine. It's just... I haven't had a body for a long time. It's going to take me a bit of practice before I get used to being in my own skin again.-Jade.
"Your new body looks fantastic, Jade. And completely alien. Where did the System pick it up?"-Alura.
"Erm. I... kinda forgot to ask."-Jade.
"Well. I severely doubt the System will intentionally harm you, since you've obviously been very helpful by repelling an alien and evil god that threatened the world's existence, but the System doesn't exactly have the same definition of 'benevolent' that we do."-Iluna
"Unknown device detected on network. Analyzing. ID confirmed. Hello, Master."
"Ship? Is that you?"-Jade
"Indeed, Master. It is good to be able to still be able to speak with you over wifi like this."
"Are you going to tell us that you can speak with the flying ship telepathically too?!"-Alura
"Yep, seems like it. And ladies, now that I have a body, there's a little something I've been wanting to do since we met."-Jade.
Jade then reaches over and grabs both women, draws them into his chest, and starts crying. "It's okay. It will all be okay..."
"Bit late for that! But. Thanks for the sentiment."-Alura and Iluna.
"Now to address the coming Sydonian army."-Jade
"Ship...No, that's rude. Would you like a name?"-Jade
"It matters not to me, Master."-Ship
"In that case, how about Decibel?"-Jade
"Designation: Decibel acknowledged. Now, should I use the onboard sonic transmitters to address the approaching army?"-Decibel
"Decibel! Prepare to transmit my words to the approaching army!"
"Acknowledged. Speakers ready for long-range directed sonic transmission."-Decibel.
