‘Find your people.’
Both Lidaz and even Kizas were fixing to say something the second all three individuals came face to face above the City. Lidaz was going to remind Rellia not to kill civilians if it could be avoided, while Kizas was going to try and get into his opponents heads.
Rellia didn’t give either of them the opportunity as she darted forward at full power.
There was nothing but silence in the skies above the City for the briefest of moments before a loud sonic boom could be heard for miles and if it wasn’t for the quick acting of Kizas who contained the ‘physical’ effects of a blast like that, the City might’ve been leveled right then and there.
He didn’t save the City out of any deep attachments to its people, and more so because a destroyed City would give the Immortal who left an easier time to search. It was
But that would be the only time he would have to keep his mind away from the battle at hand. Rellia held a spear with the color of fire from the butt of the staff to the tip of blade. The color and surface of the blade seemed to even shift as she moved like flames in the wind.
There was no fancy move, no large ability, no intricate movement of the spear…just a simple thrust without a single wasted movement or action. It was aimed at the center of Kizas’ head and she had every thought in her mind to end the battle right then and there.
Of course it wouldn’t be that easy…Kizas was a man of slender build and decent height, but he was not as fast as one might assume for his size relative to his realm. Compared to a moral there could be no question to his speed, but versus another 2nd Stage Immortal? He was lacking in this aspect.
But that is not where strength lay…nor was it where the strength of his people lay in general. It had everything to do with the color of their skin. For most, it was a very bland grey, but there were some were the grey seemed to blend with…something else.
That blend was the key. The King for example didn’t look to have greyish skin and his own was instead a mix of red and white markings. They were somewhat like the Meitalc people in the sense that their skin was almost exactly like stone.
They were a naturally heavy people with above average physical defense for their level in comparison to most others. Kizas stood his ground as they grey in his skin faded to white, which was the color of a very special stone found in limited quantities on Acuva.
One known for its distinctive hardness among others.
He raised his hands above his head and the tip of the spear met his forearm.
It sounded like someone took a sledgehammer and slammed into the vault door of a maximum security bank.
BOOM!!!

Kizas was pushed back about 100 feet in the air, but there was no visible damage to his arms, but Rellia didn’t let the lack of damage stop her, the second her attack connected she was already moving again to deliver another.
Kizas, after only feeling some initial alarm at her directness to conduct battle, quickly composed himself and was quite confident in his current position. He had yet actually levy any attacks towards Rellia, but she had also not managed to harm him in the slightest.
He could feel all of her attacks quite clearly, but there wouldn’t be single blemish left after any of his attacks. So he decided to use the time to think.
As much as he prepared a proper hiding place for his hostages, there would only be so much time to spare before it all came undone in the eyes of another Immortal. It mattered not that Lidaz was still new to the Immortal ranks, since an Immortal was still an Immortal, so the sooner he finished the fight here, the better for him.
The problem with that though…it was not an easy feat to kill an Immortal ‘quickly’. Fights could literally last for even days at a time and they weren’t called Immortal for no reason. To get the kill as quickly as he wanted it…or at least to put Rellia out of commission long enough for him to slaughter Lidaz as well, it’s going to take something…large.
By now Kizas’ body was entirely white from head to toe, and there was still not even a spec of dirt that covered it. Then for the first time in the battle, he flexed his muscles and instead of blocking the attacked aimed at him, he punched back at the spear.
It was not a big attack by any means, but it was enough to push both Rellia and himself back a fair margin which gave him all the time he needed to call forth something akin to a trump card.
“Death to Your Pride.”
There was no visible attack, or any sort of physical manifestation of anything apparent to the naked eye. For all intents and purposes it appeared as if Kizas did absolutely nothing except speak a few words.
But that was to anyone unable to sense the movement of a Law.
This attack wasn’t meant to kill Rellia. Perhaps extremely weak 1st Stage Immortals could die to it and of course any talk of Mortals surviving the attack was not even worth hearing. So no, Kizas did not plan for this attack to kill Rellia, it was only meant to stage the ground for something else.
Another attack that would be the killing or incapacitating blow that Kizas intended.
Only.
He would not have the time to do so.
Rellia opened her mouth, but no words came out. One second, they were the skies just past the City, then the next?
Flames.
Beautiful flames covered the entirety of the City. If no one below had noticed the happened of the battle between Immortals by now, then this would surely do it. For if they raised their heads, all that would see were flames.
All Kizas could see were flames.
All they could feel were flames…all they could understand, cope with, think about, dream about, get angry at, feel saddened by, get excited for, be friends with, explore love with…the flames consumed them all.
Before every singly person in the nearby City perished, the King and a host of all the Immortals in the Kingdom of Three appeared and blanketed the City in a barrier of Immortal Qi.
It was no surprise they made it here after sensing the battle that was going on. It was also no surprise that the King sensed Lidaz who was currently in the City Lord’s Home searching through every inch of it looking for his people.
“Protect the City and ward off prying eyes but most of all, do not interfere unless it appears that the Infernal is about to die. No matter the cost, she cannot die within our territory. No matter the cost.”
The King left behind those words for the gathered Immortals of his Kingdom who quickly moved to various parts around the City at his orders. None of them missing the implication behind his words.
If it came down to it, there were to kill their own countryman if it meant saving the Kingdom.
They were prepared to do it.
